For example, one of my cats is really shy around new people and I was really worried that he wouldn’t come out to eat while we were gone but Sydney was able to win him over within the first meeting - she had him eating treats out of her hand. She sent us so many pictures, videos and updates that we never had any concerns - total peace of mind. Our cats are bengals and playtime is important to them, Sydney made sure they had all the entertainment they needed and even brought over new toys for them to try. She did such a great job! "This was the first time I arranged for a cat sitter. I used Meowtel because an associate of mine does side work as sitter through it. Making reservations was very easy, although there was what I consider a significant bug in the system, where I began the reservation on the MLK Day holiday, which incurred an increased holiday rate, but it was also applied for the entire week. As it turned out, I had to push my schedule out a week and avoided that rate entirely. That said, rescheduling was no hassle, either. Brandy was great. "Lori was a great help! I had hired a different cat sitter on this app named Evie/Emily to cat sit for 10 days over my Christmas break (a lot I know)! And on Christmas Eve at 11 at night Emily informed me that she was dropping me as a client because one of my cats had diarrhea and she didn’t like cleaning out the litter box with the smell. I was able to find Lori to take over and check in with her and another cat sitter about the smell and status of the house. Both her and the other cat sitter said the smell wasn’t too bad and was manageable. Lori showed up every morning to take care of the cats and clean up the litter box! I also really appreciated her sending the amount of time each visit was so I knew for the future how long everything was taking and to reimburse for any extra time. She was also a great help with recommendations for how to use the pine litter I was trying out, and she also recommended some litter of her own. Lori was able to follow the instructions I had typed out on a sheet of paper very well, whereas I had issues with the other cat sitter, Evie/Emily, feeding the wrong food to my cats sometimes and also throwing out food that the other sitter had left for the cats that day. Evie couldn’t figure out how the properly scoop the pine litter and refused to use the handheld vacuum I had because it “wasn’t a proper vacuum,” whereas Lori did a great job with the litter and even said the held held vacuum I had was great for cleaning up around the litter box. (I had specifically purchased the handheld vacuum due to other cat owners highly recommending it for cleaning hair and litter). Overall Lori was a great upgrade from the other sitter! I would highly recommend going with her if you are trying to choose between two sitters on this app!"

She followed the directions to a T and gave tons of updates and pictures and videos and really let us feel at ease. "Luanne is a gem! My husband and I are retired. We do not travel often. Recently, though, we were invited to a celebratory family party in another state. We immediately began planning to attend. Care for our three pets was our biggest concern. Our pets are used to us being at home with them. The oldest, a nine year old cat has medical issues and must have insulin after breakfast each morning and a liquid medicine before dinner. Our pets have very different personalities. We have our mellow senior, a friendly high energy three year old and a very shy two year old. Luanne established a genuine rapport with my husband and me and with our fur family at the initial meet & greet meeting. She made additional visits before we left to learn our routine in preparation for her overnight stay. Luanne clearly had a real affection for our three. We were able to relax and enjoy our family time. We knew Luanne was caring for our pets and giving each the attention and care needed for each unique personality. Medication was properly administered. Luanne sent multiple status reports and fantastic photos each day. Many of the photos were of professional quality. Our home was neat and well cared for, mail & papers collected, plants watered and our pets were happy when we returned. We are grateful to Meowtel for recruiting Luanne. He is shy and nervous around new people and he was usually under the bed, hiding, at the beginning of every visit with her. Towards the end of her visits, he would almost always come out and play with her or go eat his food. He kept me updated super frequently with pictures and texts during every visit which I greatly appreciated. He treated my cat like his own and loved him for me while I was away. (one of them requires oral medication daily) She sent detailed updates for each of my cats and pictures everyday... above and beyond what I expected.
