What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been cat sitting nearly as long as I can remember! As a child, my siblings and I helped our neighbors while they were on vacation. When I became an adult, my friends and I would frequently trade cat sitting services. I love meeting new kitties and helping pet parents out! I’m also willing to check on your home/provide light house sitting tasks (getting mail/packages, watering plants, etc.)

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a 7-year-old tuxedo cat named Spooky, who got her name because she was rescued from a haunted house I worked at that Halloween season. When I go home to visit my family, I get to spend time with my other favorite tuxedo cat - an indoor/outdoor boy named Louis.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I know that anxiety and shyness sometimes comes with the territory when cat sitting. My own Spooky can be particularly anxious, in fact! I always like to talk strategies with pet parents ahead of time, as you know your cat best. Do they like treats? To be talked to soothingly? A special toy or blanket? Just say the word, and I’ll do everything in my power to make them comfy!

Thanks for taking care of our 2 cats! Claudia came over to meet them before the sitting and cats immediately warmed up to her. The sitting went great overall. I am giving 4 stars because I had to remind her to change the water in the fountain as well as she forgot to set the alarm system multiple times after leaving our place.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
