My name is Lindsey, and I have had my two cats for 5 years now. Gary is my 12 year old 21 pound fur ball. He's loving and cuddly and will meow randomly in another room before walking out with a sock in his mouth to find my husband and I. Khaleesi is my 5 year old diva who likes her distance and only allows select few people to love on her... Knowing how gut-wrenching it is to be away for an extended period of time and finding someone I trust to watch my two lovely kitties was the reason I became a cat sitter. Once I found someone great to watch my cats while away, I felt so at ease and knew they were in good hands. I hope to bring that same ease to other families!

Khaleesi is my 5 year old diva who likes her distance and only allows select few people to love on her. They both have so much personality, and it keeps me on my toes! But that's what I love most about cats. You have to earn their love and respect – they don't just give it out freely!
Because of how different my cats are, I understand that some cats take time warming up to you and others are ready for cuddles right away. Keeping this in mind, I will always respect your cat's space and build a relationship with them on their terms. I am also greatly familiar and comfortable with giving cats flea medicine and antibiotics, as my cats have needed these at times in the past.
I currently work from home as a Technical Writer and have flexibility during the day, so I am free to come check in with your kitty cats as needed! As a writer, the more details I get on a subject, the better, so always feel more than welcome to share any and all details about your cats – photos encouraged!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting officially through Meowtel for just over a year.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I enjoy meeting new cats and learning their personalities 😻 I have sat for a range of cats who are shy, protective, timid, curious, athletic, cuddly, and more. Learning their quirks and gaining their trust is the most rewarding part of sitting!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 2 kitties: Gary and Khaleesi. Gary is my cuddly, orange lion weighing in at 21 lbs. and who loves being outside. Khaleesi is miss independent, but loves to cuddle under the cover of darkness ❤️ she was born to be wild but settles for a warm home and plentiful food.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
You should ultimately find a sitter who you can trust and who brings you comfort while you’re away!
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I make sure to be careful as I enter and leave the house to ensure the cat stays safely inside. I also make sure to be aware of any accidents or diarrhea and the temperament of the cat to see if they are ever uneasy or sick while I’m sitting them. I always make sure to take a picture of any signs of sickness to share and discuss with my client.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I try to provide them some ease by talking to them and allowing them the space to sniff my shoes. If they feel comfortable enough to come close to me, I always hold my hand out for them to sniff and decide if they are okay with me petting them. If not, I will continue to talk to them even if they hide out in another room while I visit. The best feeling is having a timid cat come out from under the bed and want scratches!

This was my first experience with Meowtel. I chose Lindsey based on reviews and information I read online. She came to meet my cat Wendy and see the setup in my house. She was terrific! She spent two 45 minute visits and played with Wendy, fed her, cleaned the litter box, had to clean up vomit too. She sent me many pictures and gave detailed reports from each visit on how Wendy was doing and was excellent in every way. I will be scheduling Lindsey again for my next trip in a couple of months. Highly recommend her to anyone.

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Denver cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
