What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
Iāve been cat sitting for years, and for over two of those, Iāve had the privilege of doing it full-time through Meowtel. Iāve met cats of every personality imaginable! Shy, sassy, playful, doting, independent, and everything in between. Whether Iām helping a family member, a friend, or a brand-new client, Iāve found such joy in getting to know each cat and earning their trust. This work feels like where Iām meant to be!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I love most about cat-sitting is the relationships I get to build. Iāve had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderfully quirky feline personalities, each with their own routines, preferences, and little personalities. Knowing that I can give families peace of mind while theyāre away is rewarding, and earning a family's trust along the way is one of the most satisfying parts of what I do. Whether it takes five minutes or five visits, becoming besties with your cat is always the goal ā¤ļø
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two wonderful cats. Oliver came first, my sweet orange boy with an ever-growing list of nicknames: Oliver Poppins, Oli Pop, Ryan Seacrest, Orange Fuzzy Butt, the list goes on š¤£Heās four years old and a total baby. He is notoriously shy with new people and takes a while to earn trust, but once he warms up heās the best. Then thereās Nova, my two-year old fluffy tuxedo princess. Sheās bold, curious, and the most well behaved cat I've ever had. An absolute pleasure to be around. She can be friends with anyone, loves gentle nose rubs, and settling in on a cold day to watch Charlie Brown ā¤ļø
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Your comfort, your catās comfort, and your peace of mind are my top priorities. Iām patient, gentle, and attentive, and Iām always happy to schedule a meet-&-greet before your first booking. I take the responsibility of caring for your pets and home seriously, follow instructions carefully, and strive to make every visit dependable and stress-free. My goal is to earn your trust and become the sitter you feel completely comfortable calling whenever you need someone for your cats.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
When I arrive for a visit, one of my first priorities is making sure everyone stays safely inside. Iām always mindful of doors, windows, and any potential escape attempts. Iām proud to say Iāve never had an escapee! If you have a security system, Iām more than happy to operate it exactly as instructed. Once inside, I let your cat set the pace. I pay close attention to their body language, personality, and comfort level, approaching slowly and quietly rather than overwhelming them. Some cats are ready to be best friends immediately, while others need a little time to warm up and Iām perfectly happy with either. My goal is for every cat to feel safe, comfortable, and respected during every visit.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes. I remain fully available throughout the holiday season, including major holidays. I believe exceptional pet care shouldnāt take a holiday, and Iām proud to offer my clients the same attentive, reliable experience year-round.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Iām incredibly patient when it comes to anxious kitties or earning a new catās trust. At 6ā2ā, I know I can seem a little intimidating for some, so I compensate by sitting on the floor, keeping my body language relaxed, and use soft sounds to let them know Iām friendly. Sometimes I won't even engage and just let them feel me out entirely. I may also offer a favorite treat or toy, but most importantly, I let them approach me at their own pace. Building that trust is one of the best parts of cat sitting!

This was my first booking with Christian, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. From our initial meet-and-greet, he took the time to really listen, asked thoughtful questions, and made a point to respect my cat Haggy's boundaries instead of trying to force an interaction. Haggy is pretty shy around new people, so that immediately gave me confidence that Christian understood how to approach him. Throughout the week, Christian was an exceptional communicator. Every visit came with a detailed update, wonderful photos and videos, and I always knew exactly how Haggy was doing. He followed every instruction perfectly, took great care of my plants, and made it so easy to relax and enjoy my trip knowing everything back home was in good hands. What I didn't expectāand what meant the most to meāwas watching Haggy slowly come out of his shell. Christian sent videos of them playing Haggy's favorite stick-and-string game, and by the end of the week Haggy was happily chirping at him, playing, and genuinely enjoying his company. I never would have guessed that my shy cat would build that kind of trust with someone in just a week. Coming home to a happy, comfortable cat instead of one who was simply "looked after" made all the difference. I now know that when I'm away, Haggy won't just have someone meeting his basic needsāhe'll have someone who truly cares about him and enjoys spending time with him. One thing that especially stood out to me was that Christian didn't consider the job finished the moment the booking ended. He made sure to confirm that I had made it home safely and that Haggy was back in his normal routine. That extra level of care ended up being invaluable because I missed my flight home and unexpectedly needed another day of care. Christian was able to step right back in, ensuring Haggy had continuous care until I made it home. That level of professionalism, flexibility, and genuine concern gave me tremendous peace of mind. We love Christian! I donāt even have the words to express how grateful we are that he was available. this was our first time with meowtel so not only did he walk us through his service but also the whole experience. We were extremely nervous because about two months ago we were gone for a short trip and our kitty was so anxious she peed on a few things. I was dreading this longer trip because I knew Iād be so worried about her. Christian didnāt get a chance to meet her at the meet and greet but assured us everything would be okay. She absolutely loved him. it takes her a long time to warm up to strangers and she got so comfortable with him. He was patient with her and let her be herself. We got so many pictures and videos and updates it made it feel like we werenāt so far away. When we got home she greeted us and acted like nothing happened. this has never happened with another sitter. sheās usually very very needy and needs to be close to me at all times. It was so great to come home to a clean house and our kitty who was probably wondering when Christian would be back lol.

Do not hesitate to trust Christian with your fur babies and home! My husband and I are TypeA DINKs with a spoiled rescue kitty who means the world to us. My husband works from home, so when we travel it rocks our kittyās world. We had a good cat-sitter in the past who moved and the next one we tried was a disaster. Christian was unphased by our anxiety and detailed instructions at the meet and greet. His communication, pictures and videos during our exceeded expectations. I looked forward to his pictures and videos every day. Our sassy fur ball stayed āhissyā this time, but we could see how hard he tried to connect with her. He even left treats around the house for her to āhuntā throughout the day, something we never thought of. We already have him booked for our international trip in the fall, with an extra āplay dateā before that trip. Something Christian suggested to let her get used to him again with us still home. He even did some light cleaning and was open fed the fish every day! Iām telling you, Christian is the best!!

We've now had Christian look after our two cats on two different occasions including for over a week over Christmas and we honestly couldnāt be happier with the experience. We appreciated the meet-and-greet that Christian offered before the first visit: from that we thought he would be a great match for us. That instinct was confirmed when we came home from our first trip. There was a definite difference in how our cats behaved compared to past trips when we had friends stop by. Hazel and Opal were just happier! They were clearly well cared for: they had received real attention and companionship, not just food and a quick check-in. Christian was extremely thorough and consistent in following our care instructions, and he provided daily updates with photos, videos, and thoughtful descriptions that gave us real confidence while we were away. He also went above and beyond when an unexpected house issue came up, kindly helping us troubleshoot it. Christian genuinely spends quality time with the cats. Itās clear that he understands cat behavior and individual personalities, and that he truly cares. Making sure our cats feel loved, not just fed, is the most important thing to us, and Christian absolutely delivered on that. We will use Christian for every trip he is available. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Westminster cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

I would hire Christian again with no hesitation to care for my cat. Christian stayed overnight with my 12.5 yr old kitty for several nights and kept me up to date on everything. Christian was such a great caretaker of our kitty, who needs difficult-to- administer medication and lots of snuggles. This was the second time Christian looked after our adult cat and first time looking after our 3 month old kitten. Christian did a great job again. We came home to two happy and healthy cats. Christian is a great communicator and sends the best photo and video updates. Will definitely book again

Christian did a fantastic job watching our cats! He did a mix of drop ins and overnights and we will absolutely book him again. He was very thorough in his updates and pictures/videos and we could tell our cats were in good hands.

I have used Christianās pet sitting services before and he really is wonderful. I have a very distrusting cat, and Christian is a natural at reading his temperament if the day and adjusting to him. I can tell he really cares and pays attention. Christian is Cat Whisperer!! And me and my kitties are blessed to have found him.

Christian did such a great job with our older kitties. His d updates were thorough and his pictures were really incredible! We even hit a snag in the middle of my trip and Christian dealt with it in a proffessional manner that we appreciated. Would definitely book him in the future

I was worried about going out of town for two weeks because I usually am not away from my cats for so long. I havenāt had the best experience with cat sitters in the past, but Christian was amazing. He made sure my cats were well cared for and gave me peace of mind every day I was gone. Christian went above and beyond with the details he put into his updates. I could not have had a better experience. I am so so thankful for Christian and will definitely be reserving him again!
