What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting for friends on occasion over the last few years, though never professionally. I have owned and lived with cats for my whole life.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I enjoy meeting lots of different kitties and getting to know their unique personalities! It makes me very happy to give cats love and care.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My neighbor used to have the sweetest senior kitty named Trail Mix. It was such a joy to hang out with her while she (slowly) ate her food.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a sweet 2 year old girl named Soxie. She is the most playful cat i’ve ever met and I love her so much!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Don’t be afraid to overshare. I would always rather have more information than less. Any little details that can help me give the best possible service to your cat are appreciated!
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I will send a message to you to confirm booking and get any additional details. I will review your information listed in the app, and reach out with any questions. If anything is complex, we can set up a call to discuss.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I take all the same precautions in a guest’s home as I would in my own. I carefully review your instructions and keep the house in the same state it was left in.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am available the majority of federal holidays. I would love to watch your kitty while you are on vacation!
What is your favorite cat toy?
My cat is absolutely obsessed with her rainbow tunnel. she loves to both play and nap in it. It’s so versatile!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Give them space and time. It is totally normal for cats to be wary of new people. I do not rush them.

I get really nervous when I leave for trips because sometimes my kitty doesn’t interact with the people who come to watch him (which makes me sad that he is so lonely!!!). I did not have to worry about this with Maya. He warmed right up to her, and she did everything I suggested to try and get him to play. And he did! It made me feel very confident leaving him in her care. She clearly has a way with animals. She was also very communicative and easy to get in touch with if I had questions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Washington cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
