I know every cat is different, so before every booking I like to learn as much as I can about your kitty. I’ll ask about their routine, favorite toys, feeding sch... I’m a friendly, outgoing cat lover who’s been cat sitting for over 3 years. I have experience with cats of all ages, personalities, and care needs—from energetic kittens to shy seniors who prefer their space.
I know every cat is different, so before every booking I like to learn as much as I can about your kitty. I’ll ask about their routine, favorite toys, feeding schedule, hiding spots, medications, and anything else that helps them feel comfortable while you’re away.
During every visit, I’ll make sure your cat receives lots of love (if they want it!), fresh food and water, a clean litter box, enrichment through play, and plenty of patience. I also love taking beautiful photos, so you can expect lots of updates while you’re away.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
My favorite part of cat sitting is getting to know each cat’s unique personality. Some cats become your best friend within minutes, while others take a little patience, and I love earning their trust at their own pace. Seeing a shy cat slowly come out for pets or playtime is incredibly rewarding.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a cat of my own named Fettuccine, an orange cuddle bug that I adopted from a local shelter. She has FIV, which has given me experience paying close attention to a cat’s health, behavior, and daily routine.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I always let the cat set the pace. When I first arrive, I move slowly, speak softly, and avoid sudden movements or loud noises. I give them space to observe me while I take care of their food, water, and litter box. If they’re interested, I’ll let them come over to sniff me before trying to pet them. Toys, treats, and patience usually help build trust, but I never force interaction. My goal is to make every cat feel safe and comfortable, even if that simply means respecting their space until they’re ready.

This could not have been a better experience. Kelly-Nicole was quick to respond to everything I sent, took excellent care of my boy, and dealt with my building’s incredibly annoying key-drop process without any issue. Every day she sent me pictures and/or video to show me how well Polonius was doing and even brought him extra treats and gave him a brushing (after checking with me that it was okay!) over the course of the week. I could not recommend her enough!

Kelly-Nicole was an amazing cat sitter for us. We had to leave town suddenly and we were worried about finding a sitter in such a sort notice. thankfully we found Kelly-Nicole here in Meowtel and the rest was history. The communication was excellent and she followed instructions to a T. She even sent us a good amount of photos and videos from every single visit which certainly eased my mind that my cat was being perfectly taken care of. Lastly, she even tidied up the space which was way above and beyond the call of duty. A really lovely surprise to come home to. Do not hesitate to book Kelly-Nicole! she was fantastic and we will absolutely be using her again next time we’re away.

She’s our cats’ favorite human! We’ve used Kelly as our cat sitter for the past two years and she’s been amazing. She’s super accommodating, always quick to respond, and sends the best pictures of our babies while we’re away. We’ve even framed a couple of them! Our cats clearly adore her and you can tell the feeling is mutual. She’s always willing to go above and beyond for them, and we really appreciate it. Highly recommend!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Washington cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
