What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Introducing myself; explaining my past experience; getting to know them & their pet's routine, needs, preferences, and quirks; attempting to approach the pet; asking any additional questions I may have & answering any they may have.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am! My family lives out of town & I don't often get the chance to fly home so I'll typically be available during holidays.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I don't force a connection. I try to give them space if needed and move quietly and carefully around the house. If I notice them expressing curiosity I may lower myself to their level in order to be approachable for sniffing & if I see them gaining confidence I may quietly call out to them while offering my hand to sniff or see if playing with a toy catches their interest. I won't touch or pick them up unexpectedly & wait until they've initiated contact with me to begin petting them.

I’ve had Ai, watch my baby girl Gemma several times now and each time I come home it’s like I never left. Gemma is a happy healthy girl when I leave and when I return home and that’s all because Ai loves her just as much as I do. Ai loves all animals and takes care of them like they are their own, which is something I can truly appreciate. It’s one less worry on my mind when I’m away and my baby girl is taken care of by Ai, because I know she’ll be in good hands

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
