Currently, I care for my cat named Minty (see his adorable photos on my profile). He has had many medical problem... Hello! My name is Annelise, and I’ve grown up surrounded by cats all of my life. Over the past couple of years, I’ve had the pleasure of living with six cats. With my cat parenting and sitting experience, I’m well accustomed to managing the different needs of cats and adapting myself to their various personalities.
Currently, I care for my cat named Minty (see his adorable photos on my profile). He has had many medical problems over the years, so I am very comfortable providing your animals with eye drops, ear drops, ointments, or other medications.
I’m a first year teacher, so apps like these really help me make a little extra money after school! I also think there’s nothing better than spending time with so many fur babies, so you can trust they’re in good hands with me! I’ll ensure you receive many updates and photos when they’re in my care :)

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Getting to meet so many precious fur babies! I love seeing all of their different personalities and being able to offer them a helping hand. It’s so rewarding to provide them with companionship and caring for any of their other needs because I know how much of a difference it makes for them to have someone looking after them.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! I currently live with my hyper-allergenic cat named Minty. He is a domestic shorthair with the sweetest heart. I am a firm believer that, when a cat sits on you, you shouldn’t move. As a result, I spend a lot of time with him curled up on my chest in bed. He can sleep for hours there and loves making biscuits on my shirt!
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Getting to know as much about their cat or cats as possible. They’ve spent their lives caring for them, so they obviously know their personalities and needs. It is the best way for me to understand how I should interact with their cats to make them feel safe and secure with a new person.

Annelise took such good care of my babies and I cannot thank her enough for it! Usually on trips I have so much anxiety surrounding leaving my babies but this time around I had NONE and it was all thanks to Annelise! She always checked in right on time (and even early on some days) and made sure my cats were fed, loved on and played with. And promptly after every visit she sent pictures so I knew they were okay. Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Chicago cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
