What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I adore meeting new cats and seeing their beautiful faces, hearing their purrs/meows, and watching them make biscuits. Every animals is a precious creature, and I feel so lucky to get to know every one that I do.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have 4 kitties myself. My oldest, Bruschi, who is almost 19, is a black and white tuxedo rescue that my family got when I was 5. My next oldest is Gibson, who is 7, is a big boy without a tail! My little princess, Toothless, is a black kitty that I recused in college. She is 3 years old and quite a chatter box. Finally, my youngest is Hiccup. He is a black and white tuxedo that I recused in college as well. He is 2 and Toothless’ little but not so little brother.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

My baby Hiccup is an extremely anxious boy as he was rescued from an abuse situation. It’s all about patience with him. I never force everything on him. I used to sit for hours waiting for him to come to me. It’s important to make sure timid kitties have the resources they need while giving them the time they need to feel comfortable. I will never feel personally offended by an anxious kitty, they’re anxious for a reason and my heart breaks for them, I would never try to worsen that fear.

I moved across the country, and as someone who has only had friends or family watch my cats I was highly anxious to hire someone new for kitty care. I am SO grateful we booked Skylar to watch our three fur babies over the weekend. All of them took to her immediately, even my extremely shy cat, who usually hides, was prancing at her feet chatting away. Skylar is so kind, and gave us peace of mind while out of town. I can’t recommend her enough! We will definitely have her watch the kitties again.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.
