Senior Cat Care & Special Needs
I have a special place in my heart for senior cats and those who need a little extra TLC. My own beloved cats, Little Boy and Angel, lived to the wonderful ages of 19 and 17. Little Boy passed away in 2025, and Angel in 2019. Our veterinarian told us they lived such long, happy lives because they were so well cared for and loved. I bring that same patience, compassion, and attentiveness to every cat in my care.
My current cats are Panda, age 8, and Maya, age 3. I have always lived with two cats at once as an adult.
I am comfortable caring for cats with special needs and administering medications. I have experience giving eye drops, ear drops, liquid medication, and crushed pill medication to my own cats and other cats, and I am happy to learn new medication routines when needed. Just let me know about your cat's medications, health concerns, personality, and daily routine ahead of time so I can provide personalized care.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
2 years cat sitting for clients through another platform. Had cats throughout childhood and for 25 consecutive years as an adult.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Giving special attention to cats who may be a little stressed due to the change in their routine. Seeing all the beautiful and wonderful varieties of cats out there.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I recently sat with a cat who reminded me of my Maine Coon who passed away. She wasn't shy at all and loved to be petted.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I schedule a no-charge meet and greet to meet the clients and cat/s. I clarify anything I may be unclear about and check that the key or door code works for me before coming over for the first time.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Open doors slowly and make sure cats are away from doors when I leave. Respect the cat's personality and let him/her come to me. Report any signs of illness to owner right away.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I've worked with a lot of cats who are shy and prefer to hide. I just let them do that and check in on them before I leave to make sure they are okay. I don't ever force them out.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
