What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting for at least 2 decades for various friends and have owned cats my entire life.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I lost my cat a year ago and enjoy being around cats without the ownership for now. I love meeting new kitties and experiencing their unique personalities.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Read reviews! I would recommend sending the sitter a message before reserving to discuss availability and feeding times, etc. Sometimes our calendars do not update correctly. It is much appreciated!

Are you usually available during holidays?

Mostly. I will have the time blocked if I am not available. Please send me a message before reserving if you have any questions.

What is your favorite cat toy?

A ribbon on a stick usually is a cat favorite, but laser pointers rule all. Catnip spray is a recently discovered thing that is so much better than the dried catnip too.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I give them the space they need and always come down to their level (usually sitting on the floor) so they can come up and smell/inspect me. I don't make sudden moves around them. If treats help break the ice, that is a good tactic.

I contacted Jena on just a few days notice and she went out of her way to find a time to meet and familiarize herself with Yzma's routines. Her care was exceptional, even noting a fee concerns with Yzma's eyes. But more so, she was such a good companion to Yzma that I'm afraid I am no longer Yzma's favorite. I highly recommend Jena to anyone looking for a cat sitter. I will definitely use her again.

Jena was amazing. Definitely book her if you are looking for a compassionate professional and knowledgeable cat sitter. I booked her last minute- over a holiday week. She goes above and beyond. Not having to worry or stress about your furbaby while on vacay is priceless! I received daily messages and pics, loved that. I’ve had past Cat Sitter‘s who would just stop over feed the cat and leave but Jena actually spent time with my kitty cat which I so appreciated it( my cat has separation anxiety and she’s old 12yrs) I highly recommend Jena.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
