What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy getting to know each cat and their personality. They all have something to teach me and I learn from them. It’s awesome getting to see them warm up to me and know that I am a safe, warm and trustworthy person who is there to care for them. I love seeing them take in the love and care while their parents are away. Knowing that my presence in cat sitting relieves their feeling of anxiety, stress or fear while waiting for their caregivers to come back means a lot to me!

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I ensure the safety & security of the cats by creating a comfortable environment, show up in a consistent way/routine that they can adjust to, and be attentive to the cats individual needs and behaviors. I also make sure that nothing in the home is out of place, open or easily available to the cat. I make sure that all windows and doors are locked before I leave. I follow any and all instructions left by the caregivers and make sure to follow up with them before leaving.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I make sure the space that I’m creating for those cats is safe, comfortable and trusting. I let the cat lead and follow their behaviors and needs as they show them to me. I talk to them and let them know that I am patient and safe to be around. I let them take their time with me and I don’t push them to get close or be around me if that’s not something they are comfortable with. I move at a slower pace and make sure they can see what I’m doing and where I will be during the visit.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
