What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love meeting all kinds of new cats and getting to know the quirks of their personalities, their particular likes and dislikes. Earning the trust of a cat is one of the best feelings in the world, though I also know there are some shy kitties who won't want to interact much, which is perfectly fine! I still get a lot of satisfaction knowing I'm taking good care of them and helping them feel safe and provided for while their human(s) are away.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a sweet senior kitty named Vladimir (girl cat with a boy name!). She is 15 years old and a beautiful gray tabby. A complete cuddle bug, but very shy with strangers. She loves birdwatching, head scratches, and her squirrel catnip toy.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I introduce myself and of course cover the basics first -- learning the cat's care routine for food, water, and litter. Then I make sure I know where the carrier is in case of emergency. I also like to ask questions about the cat's personality -- do they have favorite toys they like to play with? Special hiding spots I should know about? Behavioral quirks I should be familiar with? Will the cat want to play/snuggle, or will they be happier if I keep my distance? And of course anything else I should know about the cat or the living space. I'll reassure them that I'll provide daily updates with photos and confirm their contact information and vet info.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

The Meowtel Promise & Satisfaction Guarantee

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
