All cats are my jam, but I take extra interest in senior kitties and shy kitties. I take my role as pet sitter very seriously. I will adhere to the schedule needs (food, water, litter) and meds, if required... Hello! I'm Amy and it would be my honor to look after you kitties while you are away. In my earlier life, I was a business professional and it became very clear after spending a lot of time at a desk that I was more happy being with animals. I have been a full time pet sitter for 4 years and prior to that I worked in the veterinary field for 12 years. The majority of my client base is cats and I pride myself on many regular clients whose cats enjoy our visits together.
All cats are my jam, but I take extra interest in senior kitties and shy kitties. I take my role as pet sitter very seriously. I will adhere to the schedule needs (food, water, litter) and meds, if required. I will bring toys or play with a special toy during our time together. Doesn't like to play? No problem. We can sit quietly together and chill.
Your home will be treated with the utmost respect. I take privacy and cleanliness very seriously. I am happy to bring in your mail\packages, take down your trash\recycle and water plants.
As I worked in the veterinary field, I have a lot of experience with medicating and general animal welfare. I like to make sure that your kitty will allow me to medicate, so this is something we can discuss. I am very well versed on medical needs, and can alert you if anything seems out of the ordinary. I will treat your cat as one of my own while you are away.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been pet sitting for over 12 years and have specialized in cat sitting for over 5 years.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I enjoy getting to know each personality. I find shy kitties to be my favorite.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I enjoy the company of cats (sometimes more than people 😊), so each visit is enjoyable. My favorite is a shy cat that finally trusts you. I do always love a good silly cat who makes you laugh.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 4 cats, currently but have been owned by cats since I was 18.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
I would make sure your sitter knows what’s expected and make sure you and your kitty feel comfortable.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I like to meet and see their daily routine. Ask questions on what the kitty likes and dislikes. Make sure I know what I need to do for entry, mail and trash. I generally try to visit at the same time each day and make sure you know in advance if I will be there earlier or later. I will send a full report of my visit and many pictures.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I take this very seriously and will never let a cat go out. I am always trying to look for things that could present a hazard. I want the kitty and the client to feel at ease with my and to enjoy their time away.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Typically. I usually am gone for Thanksgiving.
What is your favorite cat toy?
I love my wand toy with attachments (feather, bird and fuzzy worm). Most cats can’t resist that.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I let them set the pace. I don’t approach them. I will do chores and talk while I doing them to let them get used to my presence. Sometimes, I’ll just sit quietly and wait for them to come into the room. I let them sniff me and get a feel for everything. Only when (and if) they ask for a pet will I try. I make a general rule to never pick up a cat (unless I need to medicate). I want them to feel comfortable around me and know that I am trust worthy.

Amy took very good care of our Oreo while we were gone. Amy and Oreo bonded immediately. Oreo needed a daily pill and Amy was able to give her the pill without any issues. One day Oreo was very persistent in not wanting to take her pill so Amy left and was nice enough to come back and try again later with success. We would use Amy again.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Columbus cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Amy did a terrific job taking care of our boys Jax and Sprite. She brought some special toys of her own for them to play with so they were never bored! We thought her photo updates were lovely and she is very good at getting photos of the cats mid air/jumping during playtime. They made our week! Amy was amazing! We were gone for two weeks and Amy went above and beyond. She played with our cat everyday and even brought her own treat toy. she was kind enough to take care of our hermit crab and even got a new spray bottle for the cage when ours broke. she watered our plants and filled up the bird feeders.
