What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve had cats around since I was a baby, always growing up with one around. From 7-27 I’ve been caring for cats personally and petsitting exclusively other people’s animals since I was 19.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

The comfort and love that cats can give is unmatched. Being able to meet so many different personalities and attitudes of cats is my absolute favorite.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

Currently on and off looking after a sweet 17 yr old kitty who’s very vocal and affectionate. She has warmed up to me so much when she doesn’t usually with anyone but her owner.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I had a sweet kitty named Eric for 11 years who I lost in March. I miss him everyday. I live with my boyfriend and his orange tabby named Tony.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Communication is key! Someone who will be vigilant of their eating and bathroom habits if their behavior ever changes. Someone who is familiar with cat body language and knows how to handle different personalities in cats.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Knowing their exact daily schedule and trying to replicate it as close as possible. Respecting their specific requests on how to care for their cat, I always ask questions and pay attention to small details.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Locating all cats first, and ensuring all doors and windows are locked and closed before leaving. Being mindful of leaving doors open too long if they are indoor only cats.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I’m open to holidays and usually in the area. Major holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas I will only be available for drop ins.

What is your favorite cat toy?

Treat puzzles, it’s the best enrichment for them!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Gaining their trust with treats (approved by owner of course) and slowly introducing myself to them, letting them warm up to me at their own pace. I’m very good with shy and anxious cats, I’m very patient and always determined to have them gain my trust.

Cassie has restored my faith in sitters. After back to back failures, Cassie came into my cats lives and made it sunshine! She was great with all four of them. Our anxiety baby came and cuddled her and she went above and beyond in all aspects. So SO thankful. I am such a nervous mom and she never made me feel crazy or feel bad for asking questions. Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
