I am an empty nester with a lot of love for cats and all other animals. I have had cats all my life and currently I have 2 gorgeous kitties. A female grey tabby and a male tuxedo.
I am reliable and responsible. I will provide you regular updates of my visits.
On my each visit I will feed your kitty, clean their litter boxes and play with them. My cats are from shelters and are timid to strangers so I will keep that in mind while care for yours. Also give them any medication that they need.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have grown up with cats from delivering kittens to care for newborns I have done it all. I have over 10 years of experience.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love to find out their personalities as I know each cat has different personality and they are so unique.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I have cat sat for 3 bengal cats once and even though they were breeded cats but they were very shy. So it was fun to get to know them.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes I do have 2 cats, chi chi who is female and 5 years old and Jasper who is a male and 3 years old.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Find someone who loves and understands cats not just here to make some money. Review their ratings and make a decision for your fur babies.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I do a meet and greet in person which is free where I get to meet my clients and learn about the location of their food sources and litter box and also any kind of special needs.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I enter the front door very carefully making sure I don’t have a runner. And also ask the cat parents to begin with if the kitty might try to escape.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am usually available during holidays and weekends unless I blocked the time in my Meowtel calendar. So enjoy your holidays away with your family, your kitties will have me!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I give them space, do not make sudden move or loud noise. I kneel down and extend my hand for them to sniff.

Dilruba set up an initial 15 minute meeting, where she met my cat and asked questions about her responsibilities. She is a warm and caring person, and I felt comfortable leaving my cat to her care. Each of the four days she came she sent pictures and comments that demonstrated she was interacting with him, and that she truly liked him. When she dropped the key off, my cat came to the door to see her. When she left, he sat by the door and meowed for her for several minutes 😭. I recommend Dilruba if you need TLC for your cat. I will definitely ask her again if I need a sitter.

By the second day she had them charmed (even our older timid girl), they were asking for pets and showing off how they attack their toys. She's the best!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Portland cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
