What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

The thing I enjoy most about cat sitting is that I have the chance to learn something new each time. Every cat is different - they have unique needs, preferences, and personalities. I find them to be endlessly entertaining and fascinating and I am grateful for any opportunity to be entrusted with their care. Over the years I've been pet sitting, I've been fortunate to form deep bonds with countless animals and they have all changed my life for the better. I feel that animals have a profound wisdom and capacity for love. There is so much we can learn from them.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

My favorite cat sitting reservation was with an elderly cat named Apollo. I've had the opportunity to care for him twice now and he is truly a magical soul. His favorite things in the world are being cradled like a baby, getting belly rubs, and sleeping in your lap. It's impossible not to feel at ease when he climbs on top of you and starts purring. His trust and unconditional love are so wonderful to experience.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Typically, I begin by scheduling a video chat to discuss the cat parent's needs and see how I can best be of service. I make sure to note important information regarding the cat's personality (likes and dislikes), any medication needs, vet information, emergency contact info, etc. Next, I schedule a time to meet the cat and their owner in person to ensure it's a good fit and that the cat can see that I have been vetted by their owner and am not a complete stranger. If all goes well and everyone feels comfortable, I confirm the sit. I also like to send text/photo updates to the owner throughout the sit for peace of mind.

Daisy was a pleasure to work with! I have a sweet but feisty boy and Daisy took great care of him and followed instructions around medications and his quirks. Daisy was professional, caring, and had great attention to detail. I appreciated their flexibility and willingness to do a pre-care video call, and asking foo questions to Mae sure they felt set up to take care of Taz. Highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to book with Daisy again!

She has been my cat sitter 5 times now (for both short and long term) and is just amazing....The first time she took care of my cat, he was just starting a 10 day round of antibiotics; she did great and I came home to a healthy cat! Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
