Hi, I’m Laura, and I love cats! I have one 9-year-old cat named Pisho that I adopted from the Oregon Humane Society, and she is my life! I love cats of all kind and I cannot wait to meet your beautiful creatures!

I have been cat sitting for family, friends, and clients since I was in early college, and in college I also spent a fair bit of time fostering kittens from the humane society. I’m able to give your cat any pills/oral medications they need, topical ointments, ear drops, and insulin shots... Hi, I’m Laura, and I love cats! I have been cat sitting for family, friends, and clients since I was in early college, and in college I also spent a fair bit of time fostering kittens from the humane society. I’m able to give your cat any pills/oral medications they need, topical ointments, ear drops, and insulin shots. I’d be happy to learn more about any other medical needs for your cats as well!

I am able to serve in various locations in Portland and can come out to Beaverton as well with a bit more notice. Feel free to check in with me if there is a date you need that is not currently on my calendar and I will do my best to accommodate you!

I am happy to do any plant watering, mail gathering, or light cleaning as necessary when I visit your home :)

Are you usually available during holidays?

Pretty much all holidays except for Christmas! I’m usually in town for most major holidays :) for this Thanksgiving weekend, I will be partially out of town but have availability on the morning of the 29th (Saturday) and the evening of the 30th (Sunday) for a once a day visit. Otherwise I am around for the full week of Thanksgiving!

What is your favorite cat toy?

Da bird, cat dancer, da bee, and of course a classic laser toy! My cat absolutely loves catnip as well ☺️

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I literally slink around and am extremely quiet and move very slow. I try to not make any sudden movements and will usually stop what I am doing to get down to their level and let them approach at their own pace (or not at all)!

Frequently Asked Questions

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Portland cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
