Hi, I’m Laura, and I love cats! I have one 10-year old cat named Pisho that I adopted from the Oregon Humane Society, and she is my life! I love cats of all kind and I cannot wait to meet your beautiful creatures!

I have been cat sitting for family, friends, and clients since I was in early college, and in college I also spent a fair bit of time fostering kittens from the humane society... Hi, I’m Laura, and I love cats! I have one 10-year old cat named Pisho that I adopted from the Oregon Humane Society, and she is my life! I love cats of all kind and I cannot wait to meet your beautiful creatures!

I have been cat sitting for family, friends, and clients since I was in early college, and in college I also spent a fair bit of time fostering kittens from the humane society. I’m able to give your cat any pills/oral medications they need, topical ointments, ear drops, and insulin shots. I’d be happy to learn more about any other medical needs for your cats as well!

I am able to serve in various locations in Portland and can come out to Beaverton as well with a bit more notice. Feel free to check in with me if there is a date you need that is not currently on my calendar and I will do my best to accommodate you!

I am happy to do any plant watering, mail gathering, or light cleaning as necessary when I visit your home :)

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I like to see your kitty’s routine in action during our meet and greet. I make sure I fully understand their feeding schedule, treat preferences, where they like their water bowls or if they prefer a fountain, and anything else unique to them! No needs are too specific for me :)

What is your favorite cat toy?

Da bird, cat dancer, da bee, and of course a classic laser toy! My cat absolutely loves catnip as well ☺️

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I literally slink around and am extremely quiet and move very slow. I try to not make any sudden movements and will usually stop what I am doing to get down to their level and let them approach at their own pace (only if they would like). I’ve found that being still, calm, and quiet helps kitties relax much easier around a new person.

Laura was so amazing! My cat sitter bailed with short notice and I’d never used Meowtel before, but she made it so easy! She was prompt, super responsible, great at communicating and sending updates/photos, and plus my cat loved her! She made being out of town so much less stressful knowing my cat was in good hands. I cannot recommend Laura enough!! They were incredible! I love as very wary of having someone new look after Lil Kitty while I traveled for work, but Laura made everything so insanely easy! Incredible communication and helpful with key exchanges. Took a MILLION photos each visit. I have already booked again for future work trips!

Laura did a terrific job with our cats! She administered their various medications, made sure the litter is clean, fountains are full and played with them. She even brought up our packages! When we came back from our vacation, the cats were happy and the house was clean, what more can you ask for? We will definitely book Laura again for future vacations :)

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
