I had my first kitten as a young child growing up, but began to have more contact in my younger 20s. I spent time pet / house sitting family and friends’ cats while they vacationed, from age 23 up until the present, at 29 :-)
I’ve once sat 5 cats and a golden retriever in one home! I enjoyed every silly little moment.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I most enjoy experiencing each cat’s different personality, and seeing what they have to teach me. Some teach the importance of rest and slowliving, some remind the importance of playing, some the importance of community and snuggling!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Give your cat time to warm up to your sitter before the scheduled sitting date. Scheduling 1 or 2 short meetings with your cat prior to your leaving helps your cat stay a lot more relaxed. :-)
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I always ask the owner for detailed descriptions of their cats’ schedule and mannerisms to ensure the cats have the most semblance of normalcy as possible. Routine checks of the home and the cats if I am not staying to ensure things are upkept. I am big on reaching out with questions or concerns if the situation requires to ensure a smooth sitting time!

We are truly so happy every time November agrees to our booking — it honestly feels like an honor to have her take care of our two cats. She is consistently wonderful with them: attentive, gentle, and clearly very experienced. November is also incredibly communicative and always keeps us updated with messages and lots of adorable photos, which gives us so much peace of mind while we’re away. She follows every instruction we leave perfectly, and we always come home to two calm, happy, well-cared-for kitties. At this point, she doesn’t feel like “just” a sitter — it feels like we have a trusted extended family member looking after our fluffy little ones. We’re beyond grateful and would recommend her to anyone without hesitation!

This was our very first experience of this kind, and we were a little nervous because we truly love our cats. But November was simply amazing! She was very thorough, attentive, and caring. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Philadelphia cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Her calm, reliable presence gave me peace of mind. I don’t recall a specific stressful moment, but her consistent care made me confident she could handle any situation with ease. She handled unexpected situations with calm and grace. Her clear, kind communication and genuine care for Simba made her incredibly easy to trust. She was reliable, respectful of my space, and I always felt safe leaving Simba in her care. She didn’t actively seek feedback, though we regularly discussed expectations. A more structured approach to follow-up could enhance her already excellent communication.
