Duh, getting paid to play with kitties in my spare time! 😻 I have an emotionally draining full-time job as a therapist, so I don't see this as simply a side hustle - this is self care 💖

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes! I have four, and you can see photos of them on my profile 🐾 🐈‍⬛ Wesley: 4yo girl, runs the pack, big introvert energy. Loves catnip, sleeping in the hamper, and personal space 👑 💅 🐈‍⬛ Phoenix: 3yo boy, is a feminist, mama's boy, dominates nap time. Adores belly rubs, playing with his sisters, and standing guard while mommy is in the shower 🚿 🫧 🐈‍⬛ Willow Wren: 3yo girl, enormous snuggle bug, wiggles her tail like a puppy. So clingy you'd think she has daddy issues, obsessed with her mama, and the perfect balance of sweet and spicy 🌶 🐝 🐈‍⬛ Stella Luna: 2yo girl, has one eye (and can barely see out of it), brimming with youthful enthusiasm, no thoughts head empty energy. Loves to put bobby pins in her mom's shoes and makes up for lack of depth perception by being precious, scrumptious, and perfect. 💕 🌙

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am available any holiday except Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Other than that, I would be happy to keep your kitties company while you are away.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Everything revolves around asking for and obtaining consent and trust. To do this, I go in knowing that I am not owed these things, and that I must earn them over time. I'll show up for the visit, give them a soft verbal greeting, then do my thing quietly while they watch from afar. 👀 No rushing over to them, no attempts to force interactions, just allowing them to observe me from a safe distance. Eventually their curiosity takes over, and they can't resist coming up to give me a sniff! 🤗 When that happens, I let them make their decision about whether they are going to invite me to pet them. If they do, amazing! If not, maybe we can try again tomorrow.

My sweet kitty was recently diagnosed with diabetes and these last two weekends were my first time away from her since the diagnosis, so needless to say I was a little nervous. Those nerves dissipated almost immediately the first time I met Jasmine and during the meet & greet it was very obvious that she cat sits because she truly loves cats, which immediately put me at ease. While I was away Jasmine provided consistent updates as well as multiple photos of my baby girl. I could not recommend Jasmine more if you're looking for someone to watch your favorite feline friend(s)!

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
