Cat Sitting in Seattle, WA

Hello! My name is Molly and I love cats. I moved to Seattle from Brooklyn, NY nearly a year ago and love discovering my new city through cat sitting!

In New York I worked with Greenpoint Cats, a local volunteer organization that works to TNR, foster, and find loving homes for strays on the streets of Brooklyn. I previously worked with the ASPCA in their foster program. In my life I have fostered 7 sets of kittens and three senior cats.

A few years ago, I foster-failed (failing to give the cat away) and adopted my senior cat Lyle. He was deaf, partially blind, had one tooth and a heart murmur, but he was the best cat I have ever had. Lyle passed away at the end of December of 2023 and its still very hard to be without him, but if I could go back and do it all again I would choose him every time. All of this being said, I have dealt with sick cats, all types of medication and cats of all ages.

I adopted a fluffy cat named Alfie last March and he keeps me on my toes. Despite being 5 years old he’s more kitten energy everyday :)

I have car so can travel to most places with ease. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have fostered for over a dozen cats and am the go to cat sitter amongst my friends. I have been volunteering for almost 7 years for different organizations and have been cat sitting for about 5.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I highly recommend a meet and greet! It helps me get the lay of the land before appointments which put myself and the cat at ease. I ask about emergency contacts, location of carriers, and more fun likes and dislikes (cat toys and places to pet). I also think it’s super important to get (if possible) initial hand sniff from the cats I will be taking care of while their parent is present. New odors and people can be a better introduction with their family around to feel safe :)

I'm so glad Molly fitted me into her very busy schedule. My little Annabelle never seems to adjust to strangers, but Molly was able to get a photo most days. We were able to find humor in the challenges of caring for my cat. I had no worries leaving her for 10 days in her care. Having her visit daily along with a neighbor friend gave me the opportunity to have a stress-free trip to Scotland.

Molly continues to work wonders with my very shy and aloof kitty. I think Annabelle is starting to recognize her visits, and is not so scared. Molly is very good at reading and following the notes I leave, and she maintains excellent communication via text. She is very flexible with my reservation changes and updates. I really value the care she provides.

Molly took such great care of Mia while we were away. Mia is an anxious cat, and Molly was so patient and thoughtful with her. She shared photos and detailed updates after every visit, which gave us a lot of peace of mind, and she was always very responsive. I really appreciated knowing Mia was in such good hands. Thank you so much, Molly -- we appreciate you so much! ❤️

Molly has been amazing with my cat Otto. She’s great about giving his meds, spends plenty of time playing with him, and always sends lots of photo updates. I feel completely comfortable and at ease knowing he’s in her care. Highly recommend!

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Seattle cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
