With experience in medication administration and lifestyle enrichment, I'm here to make sure your fur babies are getting all of their needs covered while you're away... Hi there! I'm Nellie, a cat friend and caretaker, living in Columbia City and focusing on Central and South Seattle cat sitting services. My cat care is rooted in tender, intuitive care. Whether it's playing, snuggling or just being in each other's presence, it's a blessing to get to be a buddy to any cat who graces my presence.
With experience in medication administration and lifestyle enrichment, I'm here to make sure your fur babies are getting all of their needs covered while you're away. I promise to shower your cats with all the affection and playtime they desire, and feel comfortable and confident with a variety of cat temperaments.
I understand how important it is to feel secure with who you're trusting your home and cats with, and dedicate myself to doing everything I can to take care of not only your cats, but your home, plants, etc.
Currently I'm working remotely as an event coordinator, leaving me plenty of time and flexibility for caretaking day or night.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love how specific and unique each cat is, and feel grateful and honored to get to know their temperaments and personalities.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two adorable black cats- one grumpy old man who loves his snuggles, Ollie, and one spunky little diva named Charlotte who cannot get enough playtime.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
It's important to give cats the same respect that you do people, and to not be too overbearing, entitled or expectant. When I encounter an anxious cat I like to give them space and respect, while still talking with them and leaving myself open and available for them to play or snuggle if/when they warm up a little. Sometimes it takes a little trust building and that's more than okay :)

Nellie was absolutely incredible as a sitter for our cats! She was kind enough to come over for a meet-and-greet beforehand and took the time to really get to know our cats’ routines, personalities, and special diet. She was incredibly diligent about keeping us updated and went far above and beyond to make sure both our kitties and our home were well cared for while we were away. She even offered to water our plants and bring in packages, which we really appreciated. This trip was a little more challenging because one of our cats wasn’t feeling well and had diarrhea. Nellie handled everything with so much care and compassion. She cleaned up the mess, even brought her own cleaning supplies, and kept a close eye on our cat’s behavior. She also flagged a potential concern with us, which thankfully turned out to be nothing serious, but we really appreciated how attentive she was. Our cats clearly loved all the extra playtime, attention, and affection from Nellie, and they came home happy and healthy. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such caring hands. I highly recommend Nellie and would absolutely book her again. If you’re considering her, book her ASAP. You won’t regret it!

Nellie did a great job with both of our cats and in keeping us informed of their status during our time away from home. She picked up the regular routine, took care of them reliably following the 2 visits a day schedule we requested, and went out of her way to engage with our somewhat skittish fur babies (winning them over in the process). She even took care of the mail and garbage/recyclables on the regular day. We will definitely look to her again should we make another trip out of town. We wholeheartedly recommend her cat sitting services. Thumbs up (paws up?) rating!

I had to make changes several times due to flight issues, and she worked with me on that. i also have a cat that needs eyedrops, and she came over early to trial medicating the cat to make sure that was doable.

All the basics were taken care of and she went the extra mile to slowly introduce herself to my ultra shy quarantine kitties. She also sent timely and reliable updates after each visit. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Seattle cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
