Rye is amazing! Our senior cat can be a handful between medications, and chronic illnes. And to complicate matters, she can be territorial while we are away making it hard to manage her health needs. Rye handled her antics like no other cat sitter has, making sure she took her medication and kept a close eye on her health condition all while reliably keeping us up to date. Typically when we go on trips for longer than a week, we come back to the cat being a nervous wreck and it takes us days to get her back settled in to her routine. But this time we came back and it was like we never left. I can’t recommend Rye enough!

This was our first Meowtel experience and Rye was great to work with! They kept us informed with detailed updates and photos and brainstormed ways to help get our cat to eat more when he went on a tiny hunger strike. They also adjusted their schedule on the last day when our flight was delayed. Thanks, Rye!

Rye has been a fantastic cat sitter, and I highly recommend them. Rye is reliable and always let me know when they arrive and leave. I also get plenty of photo and video updates, which really helps me feel relaxed while I'm away. Rye always check that my auto feeder, litter robot, and water fountains are working properly, and they make sure my cat gets lots of attention and playtime during visits. Rye even placates to my silly whims, like making sure Emmie's cat bed is set up right in front of the window so she can bird watch comfortably. Emmie can be a little mischievous, and Rye has even cleaned up small messes like when my cat broke into a bag of litter or tipped over her water feature. It gives me a lot of peace of mind knowing Rye is there keeping an eye on things and giving my cat some love while I’m gone. I’d highly recommend hiring Rye to look after your kitty the next time you're out of town!

Rye did a stellar job looking after our cats when we left town. We felt very reassured that the cats as well as our home were well looked after. We have a picky eater and Rye took time with her to get her to eat. We received lots of photos and great communication. Rye is very knowledgeable about cat care and very professional. Rye is an intuitive, highly experienced kitty whisperer! My husband and I were initially worried about leaving our three cats for a longer-than-usual vacation, but Rye’s conscientious care quickly eased our concerns. One of our cats, who is notoriously difficult to pill, stepped up his avoidance while we were away. Rye, however, came up with a clever pill-dispensing workaround, one that we plan to use ourselves! Rye was fantastic! They took great care of my senior cat, Maeby including getting her her daily meds. She usually takes a while to warm up to new people but she was comfortable with Rye and even permitted some couch snuggles on day 2. They sent me frequent updates with photos, followed my overly detailed instructions for food/water/pills, monitored the litter robot carefully, and left my place spotless. Rye is clearly a cat lover and it shows. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a patient, caring sitter for their cat(s)!

Rye is fantastic! We have a large number of cats and they did a great job making sure everyone was cared for. They were great with handling all the basics (food, water, litter), and even helped with other household things like mail and bring in the garbage cans on garbage day. Rye is a strong communicator - they sent daily updates and pictures. I came home to a tidy house and happy cats! I look forward to working with Rye again.

Rye makes any trips out of town less stressful as we know our anxious cat Nimby will be well cared for. Rye is very knowledgeable about how to create a calming environment for Nimby and I was amazed to even see videos of Nimby playing! I definitely recommend them for anxious kitties :)

this was the second time we hired Rye as our cat sitter. We love Rye! They are so great with communication, cat glamour photography, and are very much loved by our cats. The cats love all the play time and attention they get from Rye. Rye has also helped us with things like getting packages and mail from downstairs, always leaves the place tidy, and always locks the door. Rye always knows how to take care of all my cats and keep me updated with how they’re all doing. they went above and beyond in even taking one to the vet for an appt that I couldn’t make while traveling and had zero issues in getting him there and back. Will always have Rye back for future visits!

Rye was so great to have as a cat sitter. They sent us many pictures every day and cute helpful little notes about what the cats were up to. They also sent us a note every day when they left and locked the door of the apartment. We felt like the cats were in such good, caring hands the whole time we were gone. They got lots of play time and cuddles in addition to the basics. Rye even hung out with them once in the closet while the apartment was being cleaned so they wouldn't be stressed by the noise! It is very difficult to give pills to our cat. Rye was adaptable when there were pill issues and came early the next day to make sure our cat got her medication.

Rye was an utterly fantastic cat-sitter! I have two senior kitties, one who is deeply needy and snuggly, the other who only likes certain, rare people and needs medication twice a day and can have issues with vomiting. Rye was SO attentive and thorough! Both kitties looked so happy and loved and cared for that I worried less about them than I ever had on a trip before. Rye always took pictures and was incredibly detailed and responsive so I always knew what was going on. When my sensitive, old girl made a mess, Rye let me know what was up immediately, took care of it, and worked with me to find a solution. If you are looking for someone who genuinely cares for cats and will go above and behind to make sure your cat is getting the care they need, it is Rye.

Rye took care of my two little fur balls when my family was 4500 miles and 8 time zones away. They kept in constant communication with me during the two weeks we were away. They sent pictures of my fluffy ones, and made sure I knew when things happened that were out of the ordinary (like my young cat who “decorated” the house with yarn that he extracted from the knitting box! 😹) Rye was flexible with our plan and gave ideas for different things that came up (like the older cat not eating much). Being so far away for so long, I easily could have been anxious for my kitties, but Rye made me feel so secure in their well being that I could fully enjoy our trip without concern for what was happening at home.
