I freelance graphic design & copyediting, I teach writing and theatre full-time, and spend most of my days with my tuxedo cat, Troy Boy.
My interests are in the arts, but my parents are both veterinarians who graduated from Ohio State and owned an animal clinic in Northern Ohio for 20+ years. As their daughter, I’ve been trained my entire life how to handle and read animals in challenging situations, including behavioral training, medication, and life transitions.
As an educator, I have to say my approach with students and animals are similar: both settings require patience, respect, and clear communication. I bring a calm, friendly energy to my cat clients, and I am able to care for cats in the ways their personalities need, that being playtime, feeding routines, or pets!
You can rely on me to communicate my schedule, send photos, and ensure you and your cat(s) enjoy a comfortable, stress-free time!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
My parents are veterinarians and I grew up in the house beside their animal clinic (called the Wadsworth Animal Hospital). They’ve prepared me for many situations and care scenarios with cats, so you can say I’ve been taking care of cats my entire life. I’ve been specifically cat-sat since 2021 all around Colorado: in Fort Collins, Red Feather Lakes, Denver, and Conifer. I’ve also cat-sat around Washington since moving to Seattle for graduate school in 2023
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Getting to know the cats. I’ve grown up alongside dogs, cats, small mammals, aquatics, and even large mammals (namely horses and cows)—therefore, animals have felt like my peers, and I’ve gained an understanding with animal language
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I once cat-sat an estate with two young cats and four dogs. The estate was located in the Rocky Mountains with a beautiful skyline view of Fort Collins and Red Father Lakes. I housesat and cared for all the animals for a week in my clients’ lovely home & got a lot of reading done
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
His name is Troy! He’s three and used to be a Meowtropolitan cat café host. He was found as a stray in Kent, Washington when he was five months old—by then, it seemed an accident cropped a portion of his tail. Troy was adopted by a family for two years, until that family had a newborn with cat allergies My partner and I are so happy to have Troy in our lives! He has completed our family!
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Please feel free to ask me any sort of questions, or ask me for any specific care or house instructions! I prioritize clear and honest communication—as your prospective cat sitter, I am here to be helpful and make your & your cats’ time away stress-free.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I will focus on ensuring your cats’ basic needs: food, water, air/temperature, and cleanliness. I let your cats approach me and set the boundaries for physical affection, proximity, and play. I do not interact your cat based on my assumptions of their boundaries
Are you usually available during holidays?
My partner and I will return to Colorado for 2-4 weeks to visit with family at least 1-2 times a year. I will make sure to update my calendar if I plan on going on one of these trips
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
As I allow cats to set and communicate their boundaries concerning play, affection, and space, I do not particularly expect timid/anxious cats to be comfortable with physical handling or even being seen

Seattle cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
