What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have had cats my entire life but just recently in the past 5 years have started taking care of my friends cats while they are on vacation or need a drop-in while they are working. I love meeting new cats, learning about them- especially snuggles + playtime!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy cat sitting the most because every cat is different! I love learning their personalities + how they like to play + snuggle the most.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

My favorite cat reservations are the ones where the cat is super happy to see me! I love snuggles! I am always willing to work with shy kitties (one of mine is nicknamed shy Max) so I totally understand how terrifying it can be having a new person coming into the home, especially when mom or dad are gone.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have 4 beautiful kitties! Allie is a 12 year old calico, she's the social butterfly of our house. She greets everyone at the door and needs maximum attention! Max is a 9 year old orange tabby, he's pretty shy and doesn't like to meet new people but loves belly rubs from his family. Beavis and Butthead are our kittens that are about 6 months in age! We LOVE the crazy kitten energy and love watching them grow and learn.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

My best advice for hiring a cat sitter is to do the free meet + greet! It's great to be able to watch the sitter interact with your cat + see how they are in your home. I believe that energy is everything + you'll know if you are the right fit from meeting in person or virtually.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Before the meet + greet we usually chat through the Meowetel app which helps us both get acquainted + ask basic questions about the visits requested. During the meet + greet, I go over my specific check-list of questions to make sure that we are all on the same page + your cat with receive the best care possible while you are gone.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I always pay attention to the cats behavior and if it's a multi-cat household, their interactions and group dynamics. What do they like, what are they into, what gets their attention? I really pride myself in being attentive the cats I visit.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am always available over Holidays and would love to give your kitties extra Holiday love while you visit family or loved ones.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I truly love all cat toys! (I usually let the cat pick, obviously!) I find that MY cats love all toys, including boxes + other non-traditional toys, which is adorable. I love cats that play fetch! It's the cutest thing.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I always make sure my demeanor is calm and quiet. I enter the space calmly and generally sit on the floor. I let the cat sniff me + come to me on its own time. I do this to show respect to their environment + let them know I know this is their home + their space. Every cat is different + I take time to learn how they like to be approached.

So happy to have found Stefani thru her mom sharing what she does on Nextdoor. My ex-coworker moved away, and the person I hired last year didn't think I didn't notice what wasn't done. Stefani went above and beyond with offering to water a plant(hubby commented she took better care of it than he does😂) as the leaves perked up, bringing in packages that I couldn't put a delivery hold on. Our 2 cats still had food and water, and their 2 litter boxes were cleaned as nothing smelled upon our returning home😍 This was an issue with the person who checked in on our cats last year. Upon meeting her before our trip, I knew she truly cared from her telling me about her cats, and what she does for them. She also swept the kitty litter off of our floor which I'm not used to our cat sitter doing. My husband doesn't even do this! I would use Stefani to watch our cats for our next week+ vacation.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
