I have done about 6 years cat volunteering at animal shelters. I am used to cats, from aggressive to clingy.
One day, I would love to have cats and dogs of my own. I currently have an adorable hamster! I am truly blessed to have her... When a cat is with me, I feel instantly calm. It’s a magical feeling when I bond with them.

I have a routine when I cat-sit. The kitty’s needs are priority. I am avidly looking to learn medical care at my shelter I volunteer at, so I should have those skills soon. I will be able to take care of the basic necessities. Once their needs are met, it’s playtime and endless snuggles.
Communication is important, and I will be clear and responsive. I will note down anything concerning and let you know. Photos and updates will be given to show how your cat is doing. I myself love to add to my piles and piles of pet photos!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have one experience cat sitting and would love to continue. I cat sat a church friend’s friend and enjoyed taking care of the kitties. They were pretty shy, but I fed them churus and cleaned their litterbox. They weren’t super cuddly, but were curious about me. I hung out with them for a little, since it was a short check-in. It was a great experience that showed me the ropes in cat-sitting.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Cat-sitting is a very rewarding experience for me. The joy I receive from playing with cats is amazing. They are so goofy sometimes, it’s hard not to giggle. I love when a cat looks grumpy, but are the sweetest lovebugs in the world! Every cat deserves cuddles and love.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am open on holidays, because my family doesn’t celebrate much. I have open availability, so I will be happy to take care of your cats when you are away. I know how much of a blessing reasurrance is for pet owners. I can relate to the constant worrying when I am away from my hamster.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I have been around many different cats. Aggressive cats, shy ones, and cats that are introverted. I know it’s scary when a cat meets someone new. I speak in a slow and soft manner. This usually helps them feel calmer. I let them go at their pacing and follow it. With timid animals, they need patience and a calm approach so they don’t get spooked. If they want pets, I’ll let them come to me for it. Some cats will run to you for all the cuddles, but the shy ones just need time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
