I have a whole life time of experience caring for cats whether it be my boy zoomer, or bottle fed kittens I worked with a vet tech in LA to foster and rescue from a car engine, or the cat I recently rescued who was adopted by a friend with proper vet care etc.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
When working with a new pet parent I love to learn about you and your cat's routine to minimize anxiety around unfamiliarity with the pet and any special needs your baby may have whether it be feeding, watering, monitoring health in kittens-senior cats. I love learning how/if they like to play or if they're a lone tiger. I also cover communication with the pet parent early on, whether we like photos and regular updates, or prefer communication only when urgent. I always provide communication as I enter, and a summary of care when I exit for peace of mind.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am available during the holidays as this can be a stressful time for kitties especially because there are a lot of noises or smells going on and they are often without their owner when people travel for family especially in LA.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I have rescued and fostered strays I have found homes for through my LA vet connections. Typically, I will enter slowly and quietly and establish myself in an open area so let the cat be curious of me but not feel like I am encroaching on their space. If tasks like feeding and watering must be done in that moment I will do them gently and low to the ground so they feel safe to investigate me! If I see positive signs, I will offer a treat by placing it infront of me for example. If the cat is really anxious I like to give them space. With feral cats it really takes time they are like us! They like to observe first! :) Nothing wrong with that.

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
