What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
My favorite part about being a cat sitter is that I get to meet new cats😻 and get to spend time with them and giving them lots of hugs and cuddles, if they'll allow me to. I will always respect the space that an animal will demand of me. I think because I am not pushy and I am the most patient, I always end up winning them over 🥰 I love how they always make me feel like I make them feel safe around me. It makes me feel so special. There is nothing like gaining the respect of an animal, it's such an honorable feeling 🥰
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Every process is unique to every cat parent & cat. I will always respect the rules & boundaries that I am given by the cat parents as well as the cats. Your rules, mine to follow🫡 You want constant updates? You got it! 😎 You want lots of pictures and videos? I got you!😉 I will take care of your baby as though they were my very own. 🐈⬛️🐈🖤
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I have plenty of experience with extremely timid and anxious cats. The trick is to be patient, give them space, and move on their timeline. Lots of slow blinking always works like a charm! Cats have a great sense when it comes to figuring out if a person has good intentions. I’ve frequently surprised cat parents while they were away by sending photos of us cuddling, usually prompting a reaction like: "They NEVER go to strangers! How did you do that?!" 🤯

Glo was a godsend. She was able to help us out starting over a holiday weekend and continue for about a month. My 94 year old mother had an outside cat that adopted her and it was very sick and needed medication twice a day. Something my mom was not physically able to do. Glo was able to nurse the cat back to health for us. She is very caring and loving not only towards my mothers cat, but also to my mother. Glo deserves 10 stars for her dedication and caring. Thank you Glo!!!

I wish I could leave 10/5 stars. Glo was the exact person I needed for the job, and you shouldn’t think twice before hiring her. I had recently acquired a new adult cat, and Glo helped make him warm up to the new environment while I was away for the weekend. Despite an potty accident from my cat, Glo took initiative and cleaned it up right as she noticed it. Between the excellent communication, patient personality, and cat wisdom, Glo is the one you NEED to look after your beloved cats while you’re away.

Glo was great! The cats seemed super comfortable when I got back from my trip. She was a great overnight guest, leaving my apartment way cleaner than she found it. She also sent plenty of updates and pictures throughout the stay so I would feel comfortable. Can recommend!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving

- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Long Beach cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $36.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
