I have 4 cats of my own, one being a... Hi, my name is Alexia and I currently work as a vet tech lead at a pre-clinical research facility. I don't currently work with cats, but I do have experience working with them and caring for them- I'm experienced with giving all types of injections for medications, subcutaneous fluids, eye ointment, and oral medications.
I have 4 cats of my own, one being a kitten I just rescued at my complex, and I know that for me, when I have someone watch them for me, I like them to spend a little time with them when they make a visit. Make them feel not so alone and thats how I like to conduct my visits. The last thing I want to do is have your fur baby be scared, so I always come in with a soft approach and calm demeanor.

I have four babies. George(my orange tabby), Moony(my black kitty), Hercules(my DLH tabby), and Chester( an orange tabby i just rescued.)

Alexia took the time to hang out with our 2 outgoing cats to give them pets, and worked with our shy cat to make sure she ate, and even gained her trust towards the end! She sent great pictures on most days.

Alexia gave quick responses and was communicative during the booking process. I have only used Rover in the past so this was my first time booking through Meowtel, but it went smoothly. She was really nice and calm during the meet and greet, and has experience with injected medications, which I was specifically looking for. My cat Ginger is normally skittish meeting new people, but she stayed in the living room the whole visit and let Alexia approach. I was super surprised, but I guess she got good vibes :) All of the scheduled drop-in visits seemed to go well while I was gone. I didn't receive check-in messages for most of the drop-ins, but I wasn't really worried about it. I'm sure if I had asked Alexia for more photos and info, she would've happily provided. I just didn't feel the need. I got a check-in on the first day and last, and that was good enough for me. Will book again!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Sacramento cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
