What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve been cat sitting since I was a young teenager. I really love cats and love providing care for them. Any family and friends always come to me first when they need a sitter as I’ve always been incredibly respectful and responsive. I really love building these relationships with cats it’s always a great feeling when a cat is excited to see you or starts to cuddle up to you it’s a very rewarding relationship.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love being around cats and seeing how different their personalities can be I’ve always been a cat lover. I love to provide cats with some sort of comfort and love while their parents are gone.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I always make sure to enter the home cautiously ensuring not to leave opportunities for escaping and make sure the close the door fully behind me. I always keep an eye on the cats making sure they’re not getting into harmful things or entering areas they’re not allowed in. I also make sure to keep anything that could be harmful in areas that the cats cannot access. I will always lock doors leading outside behind me whether it’s when I enter or exit including any gates or other access to the property if applicable.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I typically have a lot of availability around the holidays and I will happily take care of your pets so that you can travel or do anything else you need to do without worrying about the safety of your pets

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I have a very calm demeanor which I believe greatly helps the cat feel safer. I always move at the pace the cat sets I don’t want to disrespect any boundaries they try to set with me. When addressing the cat I always do it calmly and quietly. I let them have their safe spaces without me encroaching on them too much but still checking on them enough to ensure they are okay.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
