Hi! My name is Kennedy and I'm excited to get the opportunity to cat sit for you! I absolutely adore cats and have owned cats all 24 years of my life! I have owned a total of 5 cats and 3 are still with us today. Their names are Carmen (12 years), Clyde (10 years), and Clay (5 years) and my family and I have raised them since they were kittens! They each have very different personalities ranging from extremely shy/timid to playful/outgoing so I've definitely learned how to care for... Hi! I recently moved to San Francisco in 2022 and I have been greatly missing my kitties back at home. I thought what better way to connect with my love for cats than by providing a helping hand to cat owners in my local community! I also have 8 years of pet sitting experience, most of which have been from recurring clients that trusted me with their kitties over years!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

My cat sitting experience dates back about 8 years ago when I started looking after kitties in my local community. Over the years I formed trusted relationships with my neighbors and would look regularly watch their cats throughout high school and during the summer when I was back home from college. When I am able to visit home, I still often help out when needed!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Having grown up with a cat that is extremely shy/anxious around people, I have learned how to navigate this dynamic. Personally, I believe the most important aspect when dealing with a shy kitty is cultivating a space that feels calm and welcoming. I always ensure I am giving a shy cat space to take their time to warm up to me. I do this by allowing them to approach me when they feel comfortable. By not pressuring them to play or be pet, it’s allowed the shy cats I’ve watched to gain a sense of trust that I’m not a threat.

Kennedy is a wonderful cat sitter! She looked after my Colonel Fluffypants while I was out of town and it was such a relief to know he was under such good care. She sent me daily updates and photos and, when he stopped eating his wet food after a couple days, was really on top of encouraging him and keeping me updated on it. She also was very resourceful and went above and beyond with cleaning kitty barf and trash removal! She is a kind person and bright soul to be around. Highly recommend.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
