Cat 1-We have a toothless wonder. Cloud was found starving with a terrible mouth infection.
Cat 2-We have a feral (Boddhi) who was rescued after being attacked by a dog.
Cat 3-We "inherited" an 18-year-old deaf cat. You would never know she is 18.
I have always had pets. As an adult, our home has welcomed cats, a dog, fish, and even (surprise!) a rabbit... Animals and children are my two favorite things! I have a teaching credential and an administrative credential. I have spent over two decades in education. Right now I am taking some time to be home with my two boys and three cats.

I have always had pets. As an adult, our home has welcomed cats, a dog, fish, and even (surprise!) a rabbit. This rabbit was presented to me in a box (Don't drop it Ms. L!) and as a gift (regretted Easter present) when I was a teacher. It was actually the rabbit (Luna) that taught me the most about caring for a sick animal. She got a tumor and after she had it removed I had to clean her open wound and give her antibiotic shots daily.
We live in the Inner Sunset. I have a car and have flexibility on location. I look forward to being the cat sitter for YOU that I personally always look for when I need one. I am warm and loving, responsible and very patient. After having two feral cats I know how to quietly sit near by to encourage warming up to me!

Heidi was the absolute best! She took very good care of our 4 cats! 1 of the 4 is a kitten and he can be a handful, but she was patient and caring to all of our cats. She provided updates every time she came over to feed and play with them. We have one shy cat who she was able to charm into liking and trusting her. Which is great because he does not take to strangers easily. I had a package arrive just about each day I was out and she brought them safely into our home for us. On the final night, she noticed that one of our cats had thrown up on our bedding so she cleaned it and stripped it off for further cleaning in washer. She followed my instructions down to the tee on how I take care of my cats. They were super happy with her and so were we!

I highly recommend Heidi. She was very responsive and reliable and had great follow-through from beginning to end. She was very warm and tender with my older shy cat. She kept me informed on a daily basis how my kitty was doing, it was so nice not having to stress and worry how things were going. I'd happily request Heidi to take care of my kitty again.

Heidi was amazing! Loved being able to have the meet and greet where I knew right away she was a great match for our cat, then felt so much relief to know Heidi was taking care of her for the 3 days we were gone. Heidi sent photos, videos and updates, and when we had to extend our trip by a day I was so glad she was available last minute to come again. Heidi was amazing with my 3 fur babies - I didn't have a single worry while I was out of town. Not only did she keep a close eye on them & follow through with all the details, but she's also an excellent communicator. I loved getting pictures & videos of my adorable kitties playing & getting all the love & attention they needed. When she returned my keys, all the cats were over the moon to see her again. I absolutely recommend Heidi & will definitely be hiring her again!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

San Francisco cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $37.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
