What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Definitely the opportunity to hang out with cats, duh! It’s such an amazing outlet to bond with my favorite animal, get out and about in the city and meet new people.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have 1 fluffy cat, Pennylane and 1 kitten, Hudson. I also love to foster and get a lot of enjoyment from that!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I am easy going- but also very detail oriented. So, I like to meet the cats and their owners before and establish a connection. Go over any cat particulars, locate the litterbox and food bowls, schedules etc. It’s important to me to take this time to listen to the parents needs and let them know their cat is in good hands!

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I am extremely conscious as well as extra cautious when it comes to safety protocols. I take my time, double check everything, and communicate with my clients so we both know what is expected and feel good about the experience.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I especially am exposed to this working at the SPCA Animal shelter. it has given me a lot of great practice- be patient, be aware of your own energy and give them time and space.

Lauren was incredible! I am so grateful for her help while we were traveling for a week. Our kitties were so well taken care of! Anita needs medicine twice a day, and Heidi is getting older and is a little finicky about the cat litter. Lauren was so communicative and took great pics along the way. I would love to work with her again. highly recommend!!

Lauren was fantastic and our kitties warmed up to her very quickly! One of our cats got sick before our trip and needed and extra medicine. Laure. took care of that and sent us lots of updates so we could monitor the situation. We felt much better being on our trip knowing our cats were well taken care of. Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

The Meowtel Promise & Satisfaction Guarantee

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
