I love playful cats, shy cats, loving cats, spicy cats, zoomy cats, wonky or spazzy, I love them all!
I’ve cared for cats at all stages of their development, from bottle babies to super seniors with special health needs.
I used to volunteer at the San Francisco SPCA adoption center as a cat socializer, and was later hired as Community Ambassador. In this role I do outreach and provide free in-home preventative health services for dogs and cats, including core vaccines 💉, dewormer and flea medication and educate pet parents on the benefits of spay/neuter... I’m a lifelong lover of all kitties.

Please note: Kitties like consistency and predictability, so I make it a point to come in at the same time for every visit. However, a cat sitter’s schedule and route changes every day and an exact arrival time cannot always be guaranteed, but you can rest assured I will honor the time block (morning, afternoon or evening) set on your reservation. Kitties who need meds on a schedule are given priority for consistent start time.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have experience watching cats for my friends for a number of years. I also just completed more than 60 cat sits for the 2025 end of year holiday season with Precious Fur, a local cat sitting company. Hoping to expand into a professional practice with the help of Meowtel!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! Ozzy and Freya are two years old. They love catnip, freeze dried fish treats, wand toys and toilet paper cardboard tubes. Their hobbies are window napping and catching flies
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Don’t leave your reservation to the last moment! Establish a relationship with a sitter before you go on a long trip so that you have time to shop around and find exactly the right fit.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Any variety of wand toy, especially if they make crunchy noises. A close second are pompom bals wich I throw around the house and my kitties love to chase them!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Give them lots of space! I don’t force the interaction, I sit down on the floor and if kitty feels comfortable, they can come and sniff me at their own pace. If they don’t want to approach, I just sit nearby and speak to them softly for a few minutes so they get used to my presence. I then leave them alone and give them lots of space while I do other tasks like clean the litter box or prepare their food. Even if a cat is shy, I make sure to do a visual check on every cat in the home during every visit to ensure they’re well (not injured, lethargic, etc). Every cat is different and we should honor what makes them most comfortable and least stressed. We want them to feel safe and in control of their environment, especially while their human is away!

Mabel was amazing with my two cats! Both of my cats are pretty particular and with this being my first time leaving them alone for a while I was nervous. I also have an older semi grumpy cat with special medical needs. Mabel followed each rule to a tee! She was so patient and kind with them both she even eventually won over the grumpy cat 😂. By the time I came back, my home was just as I left it, the cats were happy, my plants were watered and she even brought in packages from the mail room. She went above and beyond and it brought me so much relief!

Mabel was great! This was the first time we've left our cat Shinjuku alone for this long, and she was great at getting through the initial shyness to playing with and petting our cat. Mabel also took great care with communications and updates, leaving us with no worries about how the cat care was going. Shinjuku seemed well fed, happy, and healthy when we got back, which is exactly what a cat owner wants to see.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving

- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

San Francisco cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $40.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
