In my life, I've cared for 4 particular cats growing up: Jazz, Mitty, Mocha, and Phantom. My cat Mitty is now a senior and lives with me independently. As a teenager, My family and I fostered kittens through the Dumb Friends League in Denver and the Humane Society of the South Platte Valley (some of the photos of them are shown in my gallery). I was the primary caregiver for all litters. The main caregiving tasks included socialization, healthcare, sanitization, and, of course, Love.
Outside of cat sitting, I just graduated and am a Accessible Educator Substitute in a school district (For this reason, I am not able to sit in the mornings outside of holiday weeks. If you have any questions about these weeks please reach out to me). I enjoy spending my time outdoors, art, watching TV in my downtime.
I love being organized and clean, thus I consistently wash my hands or use sanitizer, and will help with washing their bowls and brushing their fur.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been a cat sitter on Meowtel since November 2023, but I have sat for cats for many years. I really love cats and meeting so many unique cat personalities. I also love getting to meet other cat lovers and hear their wisdom on cats that I may have not heard before. I’ve already heard and taken some wisdom from my clients for my own Mitty.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I enjoy learning about all kinds of cat personalities and the moments when I realize I am gaining your cat(s) trust.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a Grey Domestic Shorthair senior(15) cat named Mitty. She loves feathers, cheek rubs, and cuddles. She loves to be in our presence but not always in my lap. Her purring I feel just gets louder the older she is. She really is my healer and my heart.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
I would say, do not hesitate to ask us any questions you have over the chat before a reservation, during a meet and greet, or even during the reservation. In my previous meet and greets I usually come with a list of questions that I have not been able to answer yet. Please feel free to message me if you would like me to send you the questions ahead of time and I would be happy to share them.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
When working with a new cat parent I always set up a meet and greet time over the chat after a reservation has been made. However, before that I would be happy to answer any and all questions you have about me and my skills. Then, once the reservation is in I will look at your profile to see if you shared any info. If not no worries. I will cover the questions and information at our meet and greet. After meeting, if we decide we are a good fit I will go ahead with the reservation. Every day I send an update and photos from their care.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
While I am cat sitting I will ensure that the home is as I first entered. I check your home in general to ensure that your furry friends did not get into anything and that all spaces/things the cats are not allowed are secure. I also lock the door once I’m inside and tug on the locked door before I leave to make sure it is secure. Finally, I am open to using any safety procedures such as an alarm or camera in the home for you to check on your furry friend(s).
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am typically available with the exception that I will likely accept a fewer number of clients on the day of the holiday to ensure I have time to accommodate everyone.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I start with a slow approach during the meet and greet(since your cat(s) are comfortable with their caregivers nearby and to see if we would be a good match). First, I will get on their level and be in their general presence. Then, I will slowly inch my way closer and may extend my hand for them to sniff. Based on their reaction I will extend my hand some more or just give them more time. I’ll also provide opportunities like treats, play, or just being there. And I will always let your cat approach me first. I would also love your feedback and what you think would be best for your cat.

I can’t recommend Ashley enough! She took exceptional care of our cats; Mini and Bella while we were away for two weeks. From the start, communication was clear; prompt and reassuring. I received updates 2x daily with photos and videos, which gave me peace of mind and showed that our girls were happy, relaxed and well cared for. Ashley followed all instructions perfectly, including feeding, medication, litter cleaning and playtime. It was obvious she took the time to bond with our girls, which made all the difference. When we returned; everything was just as we left it; cleans, tidy and our girls were calm and content. Ashley is reliable, kind? Trustworthy and clearly loves animals. Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Denver cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
