I’ve had cats for over 30 years, and I’ve learned that while cats are often thought of as “independent,” they actually thrive on connection, consistency, and being understood (most cat parents already know this 😸!). I’ve lived with cats of all personalities—from social and playful to shy and anxious—and I adjust my care to each cat’s individual needs.

I’m especially comfortable with anxious or easily overstimulated cats (that’s MY cat, Stanley!)... I’ve had cats for over 30 years, and I’ve learned that while cats are often thought of as “independent,” they actually thrive on connection, consistency, and being understood (most cat parents already know this 😸!). I’ve lived with cats of all personalities—from social and playful to shy and anxious—and I adjust my care to each cat’s individual needs.

I’m especially comfortable with anxious or easily overstimulated cats (that’s MY cat, Stanley!). What can look like “mean” behavior is often just anxiety, and I approach those cats with patience, respect, and a calm presence—always letting them set the pace.

What makes me a great sitter is my attentiveness and empathy. I follow your cat’s routine closely and spend quality time with them, whether that means playtime, companionship, or simply being nearby. I pay close attention to body language and only offer affection when your cat welcomes it. I’ll also keep you updated so you can relax knowing your cat is feeling safe, seen, and cared for while you’re away.

I’ve had several cats over the last 30 years, but currently I have a 10-yr-old gray and white domestic longhair cat named Stanley

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I take safety and security very seriously, both for cats and their homes. I follow all care instructions closely, double-check doors upon departure, and make sure food, water, and litter areas are clean and hazard-free. I’m attentive to changes in behavior or health and will communicate promptly if anything seems off. I also respect the home as if it were my own—keeping things tidy, secure, and following any specific requests from the owner. My goal is to provide calm, attentive care so both cats and their humans can feel completely at ease. I’m also happy to stay the night and housesit if that is what you prefer.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

My own cat is extremely anxious and not friendly to outsiders, so I have firsthand experience here! I approach anxious or timid cats with patience, respect, and close attention to their body language. I let them set the pace, giving them space to explore and approach me on their own terms. I avoid forcing interaction, but I usually try to offer them a couple of treats to establish trust. For cats that are particularly shy or nervous, I use gentle reassurance through soft voices and slow movements. My goal is to help them feel safe, build trust gradually, and provide care in a way that reduces stress and promotes comfort.

Leigh Anne was absolutely wonderful with my cat Doc Holliday, and a delight to meet in person! Doc can be a little shy with new people at first and requires a slow introduction to warm up; Leigh Anne caught on, gave him some space, and next thing I knew he was cozying up on her lap :) She clearly has a natural way with cats, and I came home to a happy, content kitty who is normally anxious. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely connects with your cat, Leigh Anne is your person. Highly recommend and will definitely be booking again!

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Denver cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
