My 7-year-old orange tabby, Morris, is a rescue who’s been through quite a bit. He’s had several medical issues over the years, including stomatitis, which led to a full tooth extraction, and chronic constipation. Fortunately, his constipation is now being successfully managed with a combination of medicine and probiotics. Through all of this, Morris has taught me a lot about patience and the importance of detailed care, especially when it comes to managing medical conditions. His journey has given me valuable experience in caring for cats with special needs.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

To ensure the safety and security of both the cats and the home I’m sitting, I take several steps. First, I always double-check that doors and windows are securely locked after each visit, and I make sure the home is as it was left by the owner. For the cats, I’m careful to follow any specific feeding or medication instructions, and I always keep a close eye on their behavior, looking for any signs of distress or illness. I ensure that dangerous items—like cords, toxic plants, or small objects—are out of reach, and I monitor their environment for anything that could pose a hazard. Regular updates to the owners, including photos or videos, help maintain peace of mind as well. What is your favorite cat toy?

The Turkey Flyer is my favorite cat toy because it’s perfect for keeping cats engaged and tapping into their natural hunting instincts. The way it flutters and moves mimics prey, so it grabs their attention and keeps them active. It’s also durable and easy to use, making it a great way for me to bond with cats while giving them the mental and physical stimulation they need. Every time I pull it out, it’s like instant excitement and playtime!

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

The Meowtel Promise & Satisfaction Guarantee

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
