I enjoy building trust with cats, watching their personalities shine, and creating a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for them.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

My favorite cat sitting reservations are for shy or independent cats, because I love earning their trust and seeing them relax and feel safe in my care.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes I have a kitty called Sky. She is Siamese and 5 years old. She plays a big part of my life.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

A cat sitter should be professional, knowledgeable and have a positive attitude, smiling and making sure both cat parents and cats feel comfortable and satisfied.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Listening and learning about the cat(s) routine, personality and needs as well as the instructions coming from a pet parent. I like to learn information about the cat’s feeding, litter, favorite toys/exercises and medications if any.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Safety is the most important part so I make sure the door I enter is fully closed and check to see if there is any place the cat can escape like an open window. If there is an unsafe space at home I want to make sure cats cannot reach there.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes I am almost always available for the holidays and I love to help cat parents and give them peace of mind while they are away.

What is your favorite cat toy?

Feather stick is my favorite toy to go. I like how cats interact with this toy and always have so much fun making the cats jump with it.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Setting the pace for cats is important since it can change from cat to cat. Being calm and quiet also making them feel that I am their friend is way to go. Gentle tone of voice can be helpful. If they approach that is amazing but if they want to stay away I can make sure at least to provide their needs like food, water and litter change. Toys and treats can be helpful as well.

Volkan was an amazing pet sitter for our cats, Chloe and Snowball. He has experience administering medication and was able to successfully give our asthmatic cat his inhaler twice a day. He worked to quickly build trust with the cats through a patient and kind approach and engaged them with play. He was diligent and detailed with updates including adorable pictures and videos. He left our place tidy and our cats happy! Highly recommend!

Without exaggeration, Volkan is exactly who you are looking for to feel comfortable away from your kitty. Our cat has asthma and needs inhalation done twice a day/every 12 hours. Volkan was experienced, did his absolute best to stay on schedule, so very kind to our cat, and overly communicative (in the best way!). He also went above and beyond. Just two examples were making sure our pillow/blanket cave for our burrow-loving cat was always available and fixed each visit, as well as not forgetting the special Christmas fish filet we left for her, and left such a sweet holiday card gift. Very thoughtful & so happy to find Volkan. Will be our #1 choice next time we need to leave town! Your cat will be in loving hands.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
