I'm Jollie
Cat Sitting in Chicago, IL
I'm Jollie! The biggest cat fan with years of hands on experience caring for cats of all ages, personalities, and needs. I have seven happy, thriving cats of my own so trust me... I know. Being a crazy cat lady, working at a pet store, while pet sitting has taught me just how truly important routine, consistency, and patience is. No two cats are the same, I enjoy learning each cat’s quirks and preferences.
I am comfortable working with cats of all ages... Hiii! :D

Being a crazy cat lady, working at a pet store, while pet sitting has taught me just how truly important routine, consistency, and patience is. I am comfortable working with cats of all ages. From kittens who need that extra attention and playtime to senior cats who may need monitoring and a gentler approach. I have experience with giving injections, pills, and liquid medications!
I pride myself for keeping my services LGBTQ+ safe and judgement free. I strive to keep a respectful and inclusive space for both pets and their people. I will never gossip to your kitty about you, I promise!! Your love for your kitty is irreplaceable but I will do my very best in providing care that closely mirrors the love they’re used to! :D
Learn More About Jollie
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Honestly, my favorite part is taking silly photos of cats. I believe in capturing ever memory. Especially during playtime, I capture some of the silliest photos. I have about one million photos of my seven cats, some in my gallery for you to check out! :)
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have seven cats at home!! From youngest to oldest: Phoebe (10 months), Rigby (1yr), Trixie (4yr), Froggy (4yr), Tony (5yr), Pepper (5yr), and Stormy (7yr) All rescues and Ive raised a few since they were kittens. My personality and routines is based around these kitties, they are my pride and joy! I will also never forget my past babies. Tiny (14yr) and Sasha (17yr). Both with medical conditions that needed constant attending to. Tiny with kidney disease: needed a special diet with low phosphorus. While sasha: diabetic and needed daily injections. I know how scary it can feel to trust someone with a cat with medical needs. I can promise you experience, careful attention, and clear communication. I will always make sure your cat’s care routine is followed closely.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I start by confirming my availability, making sure it suits both our schedules! Its important to me that your cats set routine is followed to the tea. Next, we’ll set up a meet and greet so I can get to know you and your cat. I’ll learn their routines, preferences, personality, and any medication needs to ensure attentive care that keeps them comfortable while you’re away! I always keep in communication sending updates and photos to keep your mind at ease! I have been praised for my silly photos in my past sittings!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
My motto is “patience is key.” I never force interactions; I always let cats set the pace. I understand timid or anxious cats need calm and consistent care, so I pay close attention to their body language and offer gentle reassurance. Once they seem calmer, my favorite part is finding little ways to make them feel safe. A slow blink, a little chin scratch, or a small treat. With patience and consistency even the shyest cats start to feel comfortable with me around! :)

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Chicago cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
