I tr... Hi there! I’m your local cat pal and a lifelong cat lover, I’ve shared my home with kitties since birth. I currently have two cats, an eight-year-old who runs the household with very strong opinions, and a playful one-year-old kitten who keeps life lively. Living with both has taught me how to respect every cat’s personality and boundaries, read body language, and adjust to their comfort level.
I treat every cat I care for like family, with patience, love, and plenty of gentle attention. I’m experienced with giving medications, including liquid heart meds, allergy meds (liquid and pill), anxiety meds (pill), and topical eye ointments.
Whether your kitty loves playtime, snuggles, or just observing from a safe distance, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and happily spoiled while you’re away!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I currently have two kitties as members of my family, an eight-year-old black cat named Bruce, and a one-year-old orange kitten named Rio. Bruce is anxious with strangers but a cuddly lap cat with me and his other parent. He has struggled with allergies his whole life, and was recently diagnosed with heart disease. He is a sensitive boy that requires lots of attention, but the love he gives makes it so very worth it. I adopted Rio a little over a year ago, and he has been a lively and cheeky addition to the household. He always wants to play, and he wants attention from everyone.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am typically available during holidays and all weekends. I generally have a flexible schedule that can work with your needs.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I have a lot of experience with anxious cats. One of my own cats, Bruce, experiences a lot of anxiety with visitors and going to the vet. What I’ve learned from him as well as other anxious cats I’ve looked after, is that every cat has different comfort levels, and they will usually communicate that to you pretty strongly! To gain an anxious cat’s trust, I like to make sure I’m not a noisy or scary intrusion in their space. I will sit quietly and low to the ground, and let them acclimate to my presence. Ultimately, I let the cat tell me what they’re comfortable with, and come to me when they’re ready. This is their home, so I always want to respect that.

If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Chicago cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
