I have had multiple experiences where a cat sitter fell short on their duties while watching my cat and it was incredibly stressful. I know how important it is to feel your baby is safe and I strive to go above and beyond to ensure they are being treated like the royalty they are!
A complimentary meet and greet is required before the booking begins to meet your kitty and learn about their care needs. Please have keys ready at this time! Please also provide up-to-date written instructions in the "care info" section specifying where to find food/supplies and any important notes I should know. I want to make sure the essentials are taken care of promptly so I can spend maximum time showering your kitty with love!
I am fully vaxxed and boosted, and I’m happy to wear a mask to our meet & greet. I will follow any additional precautions you would prefer me to take in your home.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I started cat sitting professionally in 2023, but I’ve had cats my whole life! From timid shy cats to energetic and everything in between, I’ve cared for it all! I love all of their quirks 😻
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Firstly, I just love cats! I love getting to know each cat’s quirks and giving them the attention they deserve while their parents are away. I love providing relief to cat parents by updating them on all of the shenanigans their furbabies have been up to and providing tons of pictures so they can enjoy their time away without worrying!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
My best friend Gilly lived to be 13 and passed in December 2024. In March 2025, I foster-failed with my first boy cat Baby Bear! He’s a medical marvel hehe
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Read their bios fully to get to know their strengths and qualifications! This will also likely tell you their availability to ensure it aligns with your needs and to respect the time of both you and the sitter!
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I always meet at your home prior to the booking to learn more about your cat’s care needs and to exchange keys (please have them ready to go at this meeting!). I take notes and pictures (if you’re comfortable with that) and have a list of questions I run through to cover all the bases. Over the years, the list of questions has grown based on various unexpected situations! Hopefully after this meeting we both feel confident with me caring for your kitties!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I always make sure to follow their lead on what they are comfortable with. I want to work towards building a relationship where they trust me and don’t ever want to spook them. I am very patient!

We recently had Tali Cat sit for us for our two cats and she was absolutely incredible. From the start, her communication was outstanding, she kept us updated throughout her stay with detailed messages and plenty of pictures. This gave us so much peace of mind while we were away from our little but chonky kitties. We were monitoring a medical situation with one of our cats, and Tali Was extremely attentive and helpful, keeping us informed every step of the way. She was flexible, reliable, and clearly cares deeply about the animals she looks after. It was so comforting, knowing our cats were in such capable and loving hands. We came home to happy, well-cared for kitties, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We know how hard it is leaving pets at home with someone you barely know, but look no further. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Chicago cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

I’m saddened to be rated 4/5 after providing detailed updates/pictures during my visits. I communicated exceedingly well and coordinated key arrangements after keys weren’t prepared during our initial meeting. If I wasn’t meeting expectations, I wish it was communicated prior.
