I adore meeting new feline friends and tend to start slow, allowing them to set the pace for introductions. I will get low, allow the kitties to sniff me and give them slow blinks to provide reassurance. I talk to them throughout my visits, so they get used to my voice and don't feel lonely. If kitties want attention right away, I will give them my undivided attention until they are ready for playing or feeding... Hi there! My name is Cat, short for Catherine and caring for kitties is soul work for me. I'm very observant, detail-oriented, and am excellent at following instructions for care.
I adore meeting new feline friends and tend to start slow, allowing them to set the pace for introductions. I will get low, allow the kitties to sniff me and give them slow blinks to provide reassurance. I talk to them throughout my visits, so they get used to my voice and don't feel lonely. If kitties want attention right away, I will give them my undivided attention until they are ready for playing or feeding. I tend to wash food and water bowls before refilling and always clean fountains during my last visit. I clean the litter box at each visit as well. I offer kitties pets, grooming and play each time I am with them.
If medication needs to be administered, I try to do that earlier in my visit, in order to provide reinforcement through food, petting and play.
If there are accidents or messes, I will generally take care of it right away, along with messaging you to apprise you of the situation (and will send pictures).
Prior to my departure from your house, I will send an update to you with pictures to let you know the status of kitties and your home.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting for 5 years and started contracting with my pet sitter, who ran her own business. She helped to train me on how to conduct cat visits, including changing socks between households to limit the spread of any illnesses. I have experience administering medications, somecutaneous fluids, injections and testing blood glucose on cats.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love meeting new kitty friends and providing them companionship while their family is away. Their personailities, routines, and how they choose to communicate their needs to people is fascinating and I appreciate each one.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
Winnie is one of my favorite kitties to care for. She meets me at the door, talks to me, and brings me to the living room, where I am to lay on the floor and brush her until she decides it is time for food and treats! She is so sweet and bossy... I love her and miss her when my visits are completed.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a 3-year-old orange tabby with some gray on him named Dash. He looks like he is dirty, which makes me laugh. He is a very sensitive boy with an adorable pink nose, whom I love and adore. Chase is our 14 month-old kitty who is bigger than Dash. He is super sweet and cuddly. He plays so hard that he makes himself pant!
What is your favorite cat toy?
I actually have two favorite cat toys: poofballs because they can be thrown for fetch, rolled to chase and swat, and carried around by kitties. Spring toys are my other favorite because Chase loves them the most.

Catherine took care of my two cats while I was in London for a week. The cats loved her. She played with them, made sure they had fresh food, water, and litter boxes. She pet them and made them feel loved. She has great communication. She even went over the top by taking out my garbage, recycling, and doing my dishes. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Minneapolis cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
