My services include light cleaning around the cat's food area, litter, and play spaces. I will sweep and vacuum to ensure your cat's areas are as clean as possible! I also water plants, take in mail, etc. Anything you need - do not hesitate to ask!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been a professional cat sitter with Meowtel since 2020 and a cat mom since 2001. I have significant experience taking care of cats with behavior conditions (not using their litter-box, adjusting to a new cat in the house, etc.), health conditions (administering oral medication, creams/ointments, ear drops, inhalers, etc.), senior cat needs, and more.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I catsit because cats are my biggest passion. I am truly enamored by them and will go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your time away from your beloved kitty(s). I’ll send a TON of pictures and videos because ad a fellow cat meowm of two, I fully understand the importance of seeing your baby(s) in good paws as much as possible while you’re away.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two dependents: Toasty and Gnocchi! Gnocchi is black with green eyes and she’s a very vocal lady. Toast is an orange and white silly little guy.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Find a TRUE cat person. That’s what I love most about Meowtel — it’s a company run for cats and cat people, by cats and cat people. No other service offers the same level of care and consistency. When you’re looking for sitter, find someone that’s, passionate (obsessed) as you are. They should be enthusiastic and excited to work with you and your cat(s). You want to know that they will be in good paws while you’re away and will provide you everything that you need and more!
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Regardless of how your cat(s) takes to strangers, I’ll ensure that I have eyes on them as soon as I arrive, and before I leave. I will spend my entire visit taking care of and spending time with your cat(s). I also double check every time I enter an exit the home that the doors are locked and everything is intact while you are away.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Cats are excellent communicators. I always respect their boundaries and let them come to me first. I’m very observant of their cues, and will follow their lead when taking care of them. One of my cats, Gnocchi, is often anxious the longer I’m away so I have a lot of experience navigating this. I will spend as much time as needed during our meet and greet to ensure I’m able to provide the best care for both you and your cat(s).

Mary was absolutely fantastic, flexible, and went above and beyond for my kitties! I have two cats of totally opposite personalities and both of them were well looked after according to their needs. Mary provided daily updates (complete with fantastic photos!) that totally put my mind at ease while out of town, and was very responsive throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend her to anyone and would be happy to use her services again should the opportunity arise.

Mary was a great help to us. We tasked her with feeding our feral cats. One strictly outdoor and one indoor/outdoor with very little exposure to any people except us. She was able to interact with both cats and I'm sure with more time she'd have made friends with our indoor/outdoor cat. Her love of cats is obvious. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:

- February 13-19: Presidents Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Minneapolis cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Our cat was so happy to see Mary everyday. He ran to her and flopped at her feet for a head scratch. Mary even watered some plants for us which made them very happy. We had a great trip knowing our cat had a daily checkin from Mary and loved all the pictures and updates she sent to us. We will definitely use this service on our next trip out of town.
