I'm Ella

Cat Sitting in Dallas, TX

Hello! I'm Ella, and I’ve loved cats (and have been owned by them) since childhood. My first cat was Bootsie, a calico who showed up via the cat distribution system, and I've been a certified cat person ever since.

I’m skilled at providing personalized attention and maintaining a calm, nurturing, low-stress vibe with each visit. Whether your cat needs playtime, affection, or simply someone to be with them, I’m here to ensure they feel safe and secure while you’re away.

I love ALL cats, whether they're young and high energy (I bring plenty of activities!), shy, senior, diabetic, asthmatic, a bit "spicy," the chillest, happiest cat, or somewhere in between.....

I love ALL cats, whether they're young and high energy (I bring plenty of activities!), shy, senior, diabetic, asthmatic, a bit "spicy," the chillest, happiest cat, or somewhere in between... I genuinely love them all! 💜

What sets me apart is my commitment to treating every cat as if they were my own. I'm quite detail oriented as well, so if you have complex care needs, I'm your person! I'm patient and attuned to the unique temperament of each cat I meet. I pay attention to body language, and I always let each cat lead so I can learn what they do and don't like.

I offer regular updates, and I'm attentive to the specific preferences and routines of your kitty. My priority is to make sure their time without you is as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.

I'm also a plant lover, so if you've got houseplants that need attention while you're away, I'm your person! I have rare anthuriums, philodendrons, and monsteras, with a few begonia, pothos, and hoyas mixed in.

I'm happy to bring in your mail/packages, etc. And finally, I used to keep giant day geckos, leopard geckos, and hermit crabs, so I'm familiar with reptiles and their unique needs.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

Honestly, I love my repeat clients so much! I look forward to seeing my "regulars" each and every time. This job brings me such joy!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Ok, so.... we've got 5. Luna is the oldest at approximately 16, and she is 100% crankypants, 100% of the time. She's earned it, though. Next, we have Philomena, the most reclusive Maine Coon ever. Then, we've got the 3 musketeers... Phineas (tuxedo) who chose me as his mom when I was out walking my dog and Phin ran over to us, jumped up on my shoulder and hasn't left my side since. Panda (another tuxedo), who started as a feral, became a friendly stray, and then she and Phin bonded hard, so she stayed. Last but not least, Q is our little house panther (aka void, aka black cat). He was supposed to be a temporary foster, but then he bonded hard with Phineas and Panda, so here we are. The cats are surprisingly good at getting along with each other as well as with our 2 dogs.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I think it's important that the client and sitter have easy, effortless communication. The sitter should really listen to determine what's most important for the client and their cat(s). I think the sitter should also clarify the cat's needs, routines, and additional information with the client to ensure they understand the assignment. I'm a cat mom, too... and I know how hard it is to leave them. It can be stressful and worrying to have someone new enter your home to care for your cats. Always trust your gut when it comes to interviewing a potential sitter. It's crucial that my client feels at ease and reassured during our meet and greet. I can't put into words how valuable it is to have a sitter you can trust. I'm here to ensure that your time away is worry free!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I let the cat lead. I enter quietly and speak in a soft, sweet tone the whole time I'm there. I'll make attempts at connection, such as offering their favorite toy or treat (like Churu!), but I feel it's really important to not force anything. Cats are intelligent and sensitive. I respect them, and I think they can sense that.

To say I am obsessed with Ella is an understatement. She is top tier in every category- very responsive, accommodating, patient with our cats, and knowledgeable! And to top it off- she is incredibly kind. She brought toys and puzzles for our cats to play with (because new toys will always be more interesting than ones they have!) and sent us daily photos and updates. She even explained to us how to fix our litter robot and offered to do it herself while we were away! Genuinely, you will not regret hiring Ella. She deserves 500 stars.

Wonderful experience! Ella was very thoughtful and attentive to our little baby. Our cat Mia is a senior baby with diabetes special needs, and has a very strong personality and is not afraid who knows it. Ella took such great care of her and our cat really warmed up to her. We are so grateful to have found a superb new baby sitter and I highly recommend her to anyone!

Ella was fantastic! She was patient and sweet with our cat, Bean, even getting him to play every visit, which can be a challenge! She brought over toys and enrichment puzzles to help keep him busy overnight too. Tons of great photos and videos to let us see how our little guy is doing. 10/10 would recommend!

Ella was amazing with my kitties! I was nervous about leaving them for 7 days, as the longest I have ever been gone was 4. She made sure to give them some love and attention each visit and left cat treat puzzles to stimulate them. She provided consistent updates and was so patient with my senior cat with asthma, who can be a really grumpy Gus about his inhaler. 😹 She went above and beyond and even helped rescue my robot vacuum, Tony Shark, when he decided extreme sports is now part of vacuuming. She genuinely loves animals and it shows in her updates and videos. I cannot recommend Ella enough! I will definitely be booking her again in the future! 😺

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Dallas cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
