As a pet owner myself, I know the dedication and love it takes to care for a pet. So as your sitter, I will care for them just like you would! Ensuring your petās happiness and ease at all times... Hey! Iām Zaira, I am an experienced pet owner and have been surrounded by cats my entire life. My cats Coconut and Figgy are funny young, loving, and playful kitties. Coconut is a Tortie and Figgy is a Tuxedo kitten. I will gladly talk about them if you ever ask!
As a pet owner myself, I know the dedication and love it takes to care for a pet. So as your sitter, I will care for them just like you would! Ensuring your petās happiness and ease at all times.
Some Facts About Me: Outside of cat sitting, I have worked in the nonprofit sector, legal sector, and Volunteer in my spare time.
My Current Schedule: I am flexible with my Monday-Friday schedule, but am completely open on Saturdays and Sundays. Happy to coordinate and plan for your petās best care! I will work with you to make sure everything is taken care of and you and your pet are happy.

I have grown up with animals my entire life and Iāve been professionally cat sitting for over 3 years now!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Getting to meet all kinds of sweet kitties and give them and their owners piece of mind that their routine will be followed! (: So everyoneās happy.

Coconut is my almost 4 year old Tortie Cat and Figgy is our newest member of the family, a now 5 month old Tuxedo Kitten! Theyāre the funniest pair.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
With kitties who are particularly timid or anxious, itās important to create a quiet and friendly environment! I give them time to get comfortable with having a new person in their environment, sticking to their every day feeding and treat routines is essential. Making the visit as close to their every day life as possible. All my timid or anxious kitties Iāve worked with arenāt usually timid or anxious for long and come out to play pretty quickly.

If you are reading this review, you have checked out the right person to care for your cats! Zaira was fantastic! She took wonderful care of our furbabies while we were away. We received daily updates and pictures. She even left a sweet gift for the kitties. ā¤ļø We will absolutely book Zaira again should we need someone to care for the kitties while we are away. I was very nervous about leaving the cats while we were away, since they have never been left alone for an extended period of time. Zaira quickly put us at ease with the photos and updates. Zaira did an excellent job ensuring our very social cat had a loving friend while we were away. She provided photos and updates following each visit and was happy to collect our mail when we noticed our "stop mail" didn't happen. When she noticed we had plants she offered to ensure our watering globes were filled (much appreciated as the weather turned quite warm, so refills were needed). Since our usual "family" sitters were unavailable, this was a first for using Meowtel and Zaira and we couldn't have been more pleased with both. We highly recommend Zaira as a loving and trusted cat sitter. Thank you Zaira! š»

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Brea cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $35.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
