What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have had over 5 years of professional experience with cat sitting and taking care of other pets as well. I also managed to gain long term experience with socializing younger and older cats in their respective environments, taking care of all professional animal and boarding care while learning about each individual pet and providing the right exercise and routine tailored for their needs. I love providing my purpose and support to everyone that needs it.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy spending individual time with each cat and observing their unique behaviors. After I take care of the responsibilities that come with each cat, I love playing with the cats if they feel safe and comfortable around me. I love if I can offer them and let the cats feel a sense of light, warmth and encouragement and comfort in their home.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

My favorite cat sitting reservation was when I was working with a client and taking care of few of their lovely cats while they were traveling long term and I had the best time and experience. These 3 cats were so playful, energetic and loving and made the reservation unforgettable. I honestly remembered how fun it can be to spend time with the right cats and cats that are very comfortable and affectionate make the experience even more enjoyable. I love watching and helping cats warm up to me and to their loving environments.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a sweet boy cat that loves the outdoors and being inside. His name is Eddie! He is the most affectionate, vocal and cuddly cat that I have ever had my whole life being around different cats. He always lights up the room with his friendly and playful personality and he is always in the mood for a session of playtime.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

First I always remove my shoes, I make sure that the cat(s) know that I have entered and if they prefer hearing keys I safely let the cats know that I am their home. The windows and doors are secured and closed depending on if they preferred to be open throughout the day depending on if the cats go outside. I ensure that each pet that is in my trusted care feels safe, cared for and never feeling alone. While also looking after and maintaining peace of mind and protection in your home.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, I’m usually available on holidays for recurring and new clients that are always looking for last minute and long term support.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I love to spend individual time playing with cats if they’re comfortable enough every visit. I love using a laser toy to give the cats exercise and additional fun. Another favorite would be either using a peacock feather or a long feather toy to stimulate them and provide loving attention.

I was looking for a cat sitter but ended up hiring Shauna the first time to help give my cat medication. Shauna assisted me for seven days in a row in putting liquid medication in my cat's ears. I could not have done this without Shauna! She has since cat sitted for me for two days (and I have reserved her for an upcoming 8-day trip). On the two days she came to my house to feed my cat she provided me with great updates (and photos!). I can tell that Shauna takes her job very seriously and that she loves cats. Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.
