What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I am very particular about following instructions and have been let down by others inability to do so. Nothing is worse than being away and worrying that your sitter isn't taking proper care of your pets. Sometimes people aren't a good fit for your pets needs. I recommend starting with a short booking to try things out and see how it goes before committing to a long-term booking with a new sitter.

What is your favorite cat toy?

My cats LOVE da bird teaser wand! They go crazy for it and it is soooo cute and funny. Mr. Rosemary especially is very acrobatic when going after it lol

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I give timid cats space and speak gently to the cats/sing-song in a gentle voice while getting food and water ready and scooping litter boxes. Then I will sit somewhere- often the floor - and be still until they approach me if they choose to do so.

Miranda was so attentive and thorough, and took excellent care of our high-anxiety cat while we were away. She asked great questions during the key exchange about his diet, and remembered things about his medical history that informed the updates she gave us. We come home to a happy kitty!

Miranda has owned many cats in her lifetime, all of them rescues. She had been doing pet sitting for awhile now and has many repeat and regular clients because of how well she cares for their pets. She has experience with difficult animals, especially cats as she's raised kittens that lost their mother and needed to be bottle fed and have had rare eye issues that they needed medication for. Miranda loves animals, but she LOVES cats- she lights up whenever she's around them. She would be the best choice for a cat sitter.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
