Growing up on a small farm, I was always surrounded by a multitude of pets, from dogs to chickens to, of course, cats! My love for animals has only increased as I've gotten older, and I've been a cat mom for over 15 years. I currently live with Ella, my 10 year old Maine coon mix (starring in my gallery photos).
I am based in Bushwick, Brooklyn and regularly cat sit in the area, including Bushwick, Ridgewood, East Williamsburg, Williamsburg, and some parts of BedStuy (please contact me prior to booking if you live in Bedstuy - I can only service areas off the J train at this time). From the many years I've spent with my own pets to the hours I've dedicated to my neighborhood's ferals, I have extensive experience caring for cats of all breeds, sizes, and ages. I tell my cat that she is the love of my life all the time, and I know just how scary it is to leave your kitty's care in the hands of a stranger. I'm here to put you at ease and assure you that I'll care for your cat(s) as if they were my own!
Outside of Meowtel, I am a Marketing Manager for a global university! I work fully remote and have plenty of flexibility to care for your kitties. I also previously worked as a Sitter Onboarding Specialist for Meowtel, helping to find the best sitters in your area!
Medication: Please let me know during your reservation request if your kitty requires special care. I have experience administering insulin injections for diabetic cats, asthma inhalers, pills, liquid oral medication, flea / tick treatments, topical ointments, and ear drops.
COVID Safety: I am fully vaccinated (+boosters) and am happy to wear a mask if you would prefer. I can conduct meet and greets virtually (if you have a lock box or keyless entry) or in person.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
While I have been cat sitting for friends, family members, and neighbors for as long as I can remember, I started sitting with Meowtel in 2022! It has been an incredible couple of years - I have met so many amazing cat parents and cute kitties in my neighborhood.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I have always been a cat lady - cats seem to find me wherever I go, and I’m always so sad I can’t take them all home! Cat sitting has allowed me to meet so many cute, sassy, playful, interesting kitties in my neighborhood. I love discovering all of their different personalities, getting to know what they like, and of course, earning their trust and love! It is always so gratifying when I meet a shy cat who goes from barely wanting to be around me to rubbing up against me as soon as I walk in the door. Plus, I love taking pictures of cats and showing their parents a side of them that they might have never seen!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a 10 year old Maine Coon Mix named Ella! I adopted her when I first moved to New York, and she has been the love of my life ever since. She can be a little shy with strangers, but warms up quickly and is such a love bug. Ella enjoys chasing her feather wand, watching the birds on my balcony, and sitting in the sun 🐱
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Look for someone who is communicative, takes thorough notes, and of course, loves cats! You should feel confident walking away from a meet and greet that your kitty is in good hands. Did the sitter try to meet the kitty during your visit in a positive way? Did they ask every question they possibly could about their care, from their feeding routine to where your emergency vet is? Did they go over what to expect during their visit and establish how you would like to be communicated with? These are all things to look out for when finding the purrfect sitter.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Once a new parent books me, I immediately try to set up a free meet and greet! This is where I meet with you and your kitty, go over their care, and make sure we are the purrfect fit. I will take lots of notes, figure out your preferred communication style, grab keys, and of course, meet your kitty! I know how nerve wracking it is to leave your cat at home alone, and want to make sure they have the best possible care while you are away.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am available during most major holidays besides Christmas and NYE (I usually travel abroad for a month or so at the end of the year). If you are looking to book way in advance, please feel free to message me to confirm!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I meet plenty of kitties that are shy, anxious, or even a little spicy! I listen to their cues about whether they want to be around me. I’ll first get down on their level and offer a hand to sniff, which sometimes leads to a small pet. Otherwise, I’ll let them come to me! I like to talk throughout my visits so that they get used to the sound of my voice and don’t continue to see me as a stranger. Sometimes, I’ll even put on relaxing music written for cats to help this process along! It’s totally fine if we are not friends at first, but I usually find that after a couple of visits, they’ll be brave enough to come out and say hello. A few treats never hurts as well 😻

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Brooklyn cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

We're so lucky to have Marina in the neighborhood. She's taken care of our two cats many times. One of them, who has sadly since passed, was a high needs diabetic boy who needed insulin shots 2x a day. Marina was very comfortable with the injections and we trusted her completely. Our younger cat also loves Marina because she gives her lots of love, cuddles, and playtime. Marina always gives detailed daily reports, sends (really great) pictures, and even picks up our packages when they're downstairs. She goes above and beyond in every way, is dependable, and we're truly lucky to have found her.

Marina was AMAZING. She stayed overnight for 4 nights with our 2 cats and provided frequent, thorough updates.. which included really fantastic photos of our little critters!! We had some specific instructions for her to follow for each of the cats and she did a great job with all of it. When we arrived home the apartment was clean and she even took out the trash. We always get a bit anxious leaving our cats for very long and Marina made us feel very comfortable and at ease. I would 100% recommend her!

It was great having Marina watch our two cats! On top of feeding and giving tons of love to the cats, she was able to confidently give insulin injections to one of our cats, which is always a big worry for us when traveling. This was our first vacation in a few years so we were very worried about our baby, but Marina's attention to detail, combined with her willingness to go above and beyond REALLY put us at ease throughout our trip! Right from the get-go, Marina was sweet and professional, and demonstrated seasoned expertise around cats. She meticulously took notes of our baby's routines, while asking the right questions to make sure she captured every detail in-between. Alongside the typical usual cat-sitter duties, Marina provided daily high-quality updates, photos of our baby, and even went the EXTRA MILE to clean our baby's day-to-day litter spillage, watering the plants, and other general minor concerns so we could really be at peace knowing there was NOTHING to worry about. She provided such quality care despite the fact that we had made our appointment at the VERY last-minute. All in all, Marina is the absolute best -- she's sweet, professional, and it's clear to me she truly loves cats. Marina did an amazing job watching our cat Bo Bo while my wife and I were gone for 3 weeks on our honeymoon. She sent wonderful photos every day, really spent time playing with, and keeping Bo Bo company. When we returned, the apartment was in great shape, and it was clear she was super proactive with cleaning the litter box, filling water, etc. She was super communicative throughout the whole trip, and we would totally trust her with Bo Bo in the future.
