What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve cat sat my entire life but I currently sit for 5 different cats locally. I also take care of cats through my volunteer work through Dallas Cat Lady. As an anxious cat mom myself, I know how important a great cat sitter is to families. I currently give multiple kitties insulin shots and am very comfortable with any kind of medicine.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love to bring “good cat energy” to the cats and really aim to gain trust of the cats while their parents are away. That way, we can get comfortable quickly and start to play! It’s important for me to make sure they’re not bored and are completely content. If it’s an anxious cat, I understand the need of a quiet environment and taking it as slowly as they need.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 3 kitties! Slim Pickins, Mr. Bingley and Thomashane. They are the light of my life and my babies.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite is the one the cats love the most. I have a big bag of fun toys I bring to jobs and it’s a blast seeing the cats play with something they’ve never seen before!

Katie was absolutely wonderful with my cat while I was away. My cat is deaf, a little older, and can be particular about people, so I always worry when I leave her, but Katie put me completely at ease. She was reliable, communicative, and sent thoughtful updates and photos that made me feel connected and reassured the entire time. It was obvious she genuinely cared about my cat’s well-being and took the time to make her feel comfortable rather than just stopping by to complete a task. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Dallas cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

BOOK HER NOW!!! Katie is an amazing sitter who really goes above and beyond to make you feel at peace going away while leaving your pet. She sent lots of photos throughout our trip & was pleasant to chat with! I truly felt our cat pepper had the best care while we were away. When we got home pepper didn’t seem “mad” at us like most times before - she was happy, and top it off I found new toys around the house. Katie is THE BEST.

Katie truly cares about my cats. She has gotten to know them each individually and gives them each the love and attention they need when I am out of town. I trust her completely with both of them. I also trust her completely coming and going from my home. She always makes sure the house is secure. I never worry about it. Overall she is a fantastic person, very caring and attentive.
